    Hey Rolandas!
    I've also been using dermmatch, but I use it in conjunction with Sea Salt Spray (London Grooming is the best brand I've found). I apply dermmatch with the applicator a little bit damp, and then I spray a bit of Sea Salt Spray and comb it through my hair. Then I blow dry the hair. It looks bloody incredible and super natural. Just get medium brown and you'll look like a million bucks!

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for the tip. I don't use dermmatch anymore as I've got good density, but I might pick up some sea salt spray as I've heard good things about it

  • @tww11

    The secret with hair fiber is giving it a base to stick to. Don’t do it dry or it looks weird and just blows around on your scalp. I use a Vaseline based moisturizer and run it through my hair and down to the scalp. Then use the pump spray applicator for the fiber and spray it in. You can comb it if needed. Then light hair spray and you’re good.

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  Před 3 lety +1

      Think I will buy that pump to see how it works. Indeed light layers is best than chunks.

    I use a stiff foundation brush. I wet the brush, do circles in the dermatch and then apply it to scalp. Works a million times better than those crappy pads they give you!
    Also I find dermatch on its own can make the hair look matte, so I tend to dry my hair first then use a wet wipe on my hair to remove the dermatch from the hair itself, leaving the dermatch on the scalp :)

      Nah, it doesn't work nearly as good as Minoxidil. I think there was only 1 very weak study if I recall.... If that would be the case EVERYONE would know about it and would use with success. Since it's not something vast majority are doing, it's likely BS.

    For dermmatch, buy two shades of brown. Get a toothbrush and shaved powder from each in a separate container and mix. You can then experiment to find a blend to match your hair colour.

    Hey Rolandas, interesting experiment! Didn't know that you can swim with dermmatch. How long does it last on the hair with regular showering? Do you have to apply it daily for best results? By the way, it's been 5.5 weeks since my HT and still no significant hair fall yet. Transplanted hairs on the hairline have grown quite a bit now. I think it's supposed to be a good thing but I'm still kinda worried. I was told that you generally lose between 50-80% of transplanted hair in the initial hair fall phase. But I'm certainly well below 50% at this point.

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  Před 3 lety +1

      You might be well over 50%, but haven't noticed due to gradual shedding. Happened to me both times haha
      Dermmatch - it doesn't wash off with water, but it can come off just a little bit if you start strong rubbing with something.
      Maximum I've been with it for 2 days. 2nd day looks the same as the 1st one.
      It's a great concealer, but won't give you "bulk" like fibers do.

    • @SergeyTheBold
      @SergeyTheBold Před 3 lety +1

      @@MrRolandas That could be, maybe I’m just gradually losing density and not noticing it. But the contour of the hairline is intact for now.

    Hey hair looking good bro. Have you seen better results since using oral minoxidil than when you previously used the topical version. Thinking of making the switch due to convenience more than anything, but sceptical due to switching and loosing any gains etc. Currently take 1mg fin, and use topical minoxidil combined with micro needling

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  Před 3 lety

      Hard to say and frankly it's too early. I've been on it just about 2 months.
      Topical works well too, especially paired with microneedling.
      You'd need to weight risk vs benefit for oral min. It's certainly not the safest drug.

  • @dualscreengrant
    @dualscreengrant Před 2 lety +1

    What do you think about scalp micropigmentation? Would you get it and keep your hair at the same length it is now? I don't know much about it, but understanding is that it gives the illusion of more density if a person has diffuse thinning. I don't think it looks as good when SMP is used on completely bald areas. It's supposed to look like a short haircut, but I think it looks flat and unnatural.

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  Před 2 lety

      The only time I would probabl use SMP is on my donor should it be looking depleted. Otherways I'm not a big fan of SMP. Simply put, it WILL change colour & fade away. How quickly? - nobody knows. For some it takes only months, for some - years. I've spoken to a guy who was doing 3x SMP every year just to keep it looking good. Not a good return for money (at least right now) for me + god knows what will happen putting so much ink everywhere. What if it will expand and from small dots get bigger? (It's possible).
      I'd consider SMP as a last resort only.

  • @brncrvr

    your hair probably seems darker now because hair from sides is always darker than the top. When people get transplants the "new" hair always looks a shade darker than when they had a full head of native hair. Just my observation, maybe the minoxidil does it too
