    In this video men's style, grooming and fitness expert, Aaron Marino of www.iamalpham.com, talks about 6 simple skincare steps to ensure you have clear, clean, glowing and magnificent skin. This video will teach you 6 thing that you need to do to have acne free, clear and blemishless skin.
    Aaron Marino of alpha m. of alpha m. has a question for you - do you consider your skin clear, glowing, and radiant? With some simple steps, you can love the skin you're in. Alpha is going over six simple skincare tips to enhance your magnificently masculine mug.
    1. Hydrate! You need to maintain a proper hydration level throughout your body.
    2. Eat a healthy diet - if you eat crap, drink alcohol in excess, or smoke, your skin will show it.
    3. Exfoliate and clean your face twice a day - remove excess oil / dirt as well as remove dead skin cells. Alpha has been using Vitagoods Spin for Perfect Skin Facial Scrubbing Brush as seen in the Alpha M. Project Series. And because they're a sponsor, you can get a GREAT deal at $30 with three scrubbing brushes, and it's just as good as the Clarisonic which runs around $200. Alpha loves it! His tip is to not over-scrub your face (go about 10 seconds per zone).
    4. Moisturize - hydrating from the outside to have your skin bright and popping!
    5. Protection - use sunscreen SPF 15 daily and wear sunglasses to reduce the development of fine lines and wrinkles.
    6. Sweating - helps your pores stay clear and removes toxins & impurities from your body.

    • @MsLaetitia26
      @MsLaetitia26 Před 8 lety

      +Taylor Copeland I couldn't found the perfect product in store so I made my own using my favorite moisterizer which is natural with few drops of tea tree and other acne prone ingredients. cleaning my face is important too, I use the clarisonic brush that exfoliate well daily or black soap depending my mood. I exfoliate once a week too, and I made my own toner with tea tree, lavander and aloe to calm the skin. now people compliment my skin which never happened before. I drink a lot too. If I don't do that my skin pore clogs and breakout which give you premature wrinkles.

    Hmm, dermatologists have told me that food, even bad fast food, had no correlation with acne or bad skin. Two separate dermatologists have told me this, but I'd rather eat healthier food anyways. But for people who do suffer from acne, I'd suggest adding benzoyl peroxide to your regime when it comes to your face. It takes awhile, but the blemishes will go away eventually, unless you have severe acne.

    • @Ichithix
      @Ichithix Před 9 lety +17

      I wonder if dermatologists say that because they don't want to empower their patients to help themselves. I keep a food journal and if I have a breakout I can always flip back two days and it'll be the usual suspects, pork, duck, dairy, or one of a couple other things. It's consistent enough that I have a hard time not believing there is a connection.

    • @dcskater012345
      @dcskater012345 Před 9 lety +2

      Ichithix I feel the same way. Usually if I was to have wings for dinner, I'd break out the next day. So I think there is a correlation. And it could be a way for then to make money to give false information. Although I have read numerous articles, and they also state that most agree that there is no correlation. Oh well, I guess if you figure out how to get clear skin, bad food or not, be happy lol.

    • @CruzzioXT
      @CruzzioXT Před 9 lety +7

      Usually I eat pretty healthy and I have very good skin, but from time to time I eat some fatty and unhealthy foods, especially meat. A day later, zits start popping up all over my face. There certainly is a correlation.

    • @dcskater012345
      @dcskater012345 Před 9 lety

    A few I've learned the HARD way:
    1. Try to minimize what you touch at work ie door handles, mice, pens etc. Try not to eat at your desk. Leave the building. If you have to handle stuff, wash your hands often and NEVER touch your nose, eyes or face. This will aid skin but it will also minimize how often you get sick.
    2. Change your goddam bedding guys. Most guys are utter mingers in this regard. Change your pillow cases, duvet, sheets every week AT LEAST.
    3. Likewise your hand towels. Wash them. Fo realz.
    4. Don't OVER 'exfoliate'. Yeah. Contradicting the Alpha here. You need to wash your face twice a day but you don't need to use products. Just rinse and towel dry.
    5. Eat fat. Saturated fat. Yes really. Do eat mostly polyunsaturated fats ie olive oil, avocado etc. But also eat red meat a couple of times a week. The iron in animal meat is not the same as the iron in spinach. Your body can make much better use of the iron in beef for example than it can from anything else. Oh and do get plenty of Vitamin C.
    6 and the BIGGIE. Avoid excessive coffee consumption. Shit if you can even quit coffee, do it. That stuff is hellabad for your complexion. It makes you anemic by inhibiting the bioavailability/uptake of iron (see 5.) in the gut. It also dehydrates you and plays chicken with your lymphatic and adrenals. Making you look rough (circles under eyes, pale, sunken etc) but also sleep like shit and consequently look like sh**t. It increases blood pressure which can lead to redness, rosacea, spider veins etc. It also makes the vessels in your eyes pop. Your ears red. Its just not a good look unless you're wearing a ton of foundation makeup on a hollywood (youtube) set. Just sayin'.

      +cgavin1 most people get plenty of iron, and caffeine only reduces iron absorption by 6%
      in fact, chemicals in tea can affect iron absorption much more heavily, but all these effects can be significantly reduced if you don't drink coffee or tea WHILE eating iron-rich foods
      coffee doesn't cause dehydration, that's a myth

    Should you really exfoliate twice a day Alpha? The cleansing part yeah but exfoliating twice daily would make your skin very sensitive and possible sore. I only exfoliate every 2nd or 3rd day.

      No dude, stop telling people that. Everything you put in your body contributes to the production of hormones. What you eat has everything to do with your skin. From processed foods containing antibiotics and steroids to consuming too much sugar and fats (oils), you can destroy your skin from the inside out. Sugar has been proven to break down collagen in the skin, making you look older and skin less supple. Please don't give people advise about what to put in their body if you name is chickenzwings, something fried then dipped in a sauce. -_-

    Saturated fat is actually really healthy. But he's correct about watching your diet. Cut out sugar, processed foods and limit the amount of refined carbohydrates you eat (which requires you to increase healthy fats). This will clear your skin right up, along with a myriad of other health problems.

    • @Frederick0220
      @Frederick0220 Před 9 lety

      Saturated fat is not healthy, lol. The nations that consume the most meat and dairy (high saturated fat) have the highest rates of cancer and heart disease, across the board.

    • @LiquidRush
      @LiquidRush Před 9 lety

      Frederick0220 Correlation does not equal causation. You'll notice that those countries also consume the highest amounts of refined carbohydrates. If you looked at the medical studies (the unbiased ones) you'll see how healthy saturated fats are. A high-fat low-carb diet has proven to reduce the amount of triglycerides (fat) in the blood, and reduce levels of HDL (bad) cholesterol while increasing LDL (good) cholesterol. Fat is only a problem when a diet is high in carbs, but that's more so about the carbs. A diet high in carbs (glucose/sugar) causes insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome and a whole number of adverse effects. Visit Www.eatingacademy.com if you want to understand the science behind it

    • @Frederick0220
      @Frederick0220 Před 9 lety +1

      LiquidRush
      If a diet high in carbs causes those things you mentioned, then why are high carb/low fat vegans statistically the healthiest people on the planet, with the lowest cancer, heart disease, and diabetes rates. Also, check out the blue zones. There are five different places in the world where people are eerily healthy and regularly live to 100. All of them eat little, if any, meat and dairy aka LOW saturated fat.

    • @LiquidRush
      @LiquidRush Před 9 lety +2

      They're not the healthiest people. You need to do more research, looking at specific studies and not making such sweeping generalizations. Vegans don't get enough B12, an essential vitamin that is only found in animal products. The reason why many vegans are healthy is because they don't eat processed food, they believe in natural and organic-type fruits and vegetables. Some vegans eat processed food so you can't say that the vegan diet in itself is healthy, but anyone that eliminates processed shit from their diet is going to be healthier than most people out there.
      Dairy products are not healthy, this we agree on. (Except for grass-fed pastured butter which is very healthy). Also there is a huge difference between grass-fed meat and regular meat you buy in supermarkets. One is healthy, one is toxic. Like I said before, the medical evidence is there showing what wonders a high-fat/low-carb diet can do for the body. (An example of a thriving group would be the Inuits or the Masai).
      Eating less than 72g of refined carbohydrates a day will reduce or cure the symptoms of Type-2 Diabetes, a condition caused by eating too much sugar. I could go on and on about the proven health benefits of a low-carb, high saturated-fat diet.
      If you are a vegan then this conversation is pointless because you may have been brainwashed by propaganda as most militant vegans are. If you're serious about learning about diet and health, I have many resources backing this up.
