  • I misspoke in my opening. Not all the buildings in DC were made with marble from this mill. This mill was operation after many buildings in DC were made from marble from other quarries. I found a slice of a marble column that was most likely from the Lincoln memorial in Washington D.C. The piece I found was probably left over from final trimming of the finished marble drums from Lincoln's memorial. #megaliths #archeologist #lincoln #history #marble #mill #googleearth #hiking #exploring #ancientdiscoveries #geology #camping #geometry #geology #history #archaeology #indianajones #adventure #drone #explorer #mystery #mysterious #lincoln

Thank you. Still trying to get better at this. I’ve upgrade audio since my last two videos and the next round will be overseas in some pretty wild places! Big plans coming!

If this quarry and mill weren't operational until the early 1900s then where did the stone for the Capitol, The White House itself, in Washington DC built between 1792 and 1800 come from?
Also, astute observation that the marble house "fell down somehow"... how did that happen? The whole place looks like it experienced an 8.0M earthquake 🤔but is there record of it?

Those came from other quarries. I believe the Lincoln memorial and the tomb of the unknown solider were the two most famous from this mine. The places you mentioned are certainly from other mines. And yes I misspoke in my opening saying “all the buildings.” I fixed it in the subtitles but yes, I made a blunder :)

You need to take a look at paul cook yt he will tell you how it was done, he has undeniable mental problems and says england came from a cement mixer? Yep they made forms for the hollow spaces, eg quaries tunnels and caves then poured geopolymer over the top. I mean why go to the trouble of chiseling and picking your way into the bedrock when you can use boxing, turn a mountain into dust and pour it over the top right? Please go look c if you can answer his questions, hes always asking. Or if you just feel like a great laugh. Thanks for the video, those guys were a different breed to what weve become, you gotta respect their no problem approach👍😊take care all✌️

The american government should be heavily fined for leaving that place a mess like it is.
