I was up at 5am UK with 50 engineers to do a workaround for our systems to continue to work and get back online as massive online retailer, took us 3+ hours for full restore get online, was not fun start to a Friday. Very bad one company can take out so much of the worlds businesses. We for sure must keep cash !

My question is why change management of this product allowed for roll out worldwide within literally 2 hours? I would think such updates would be spread in time for days so in case of a bug only a small portion of customers would be affected.

However crowdstrike simply sends a corrected file and every server gets manually restarted. Therefore this is less severe than if Y2K had not been prepared for.
