Freddie always said he’d live a short life. Not sure if he truly believed that in his younger years and would make the statement to be edgy or until he knew he was most likely infected with HIV, and this was his way of telling the world without telling the world he was positive for HIV. Either way, as we grow and mature, get older, for a lot of people our bodies change, our sex drive diminishes, it’s natural, and it could have been happening to Freddie, too. I do believe the AIDS crises did probably play a role in him settling down to just one partner, but he did still enjoy going to the bars and having fun but as his body weakened, he spent more time at home with friends and his inner circle.
