I don’t agree that the sizes of the tiers are the same between how women view men and how men view women. When it comes to how men view women, the “smash” zone should take up 60%-70% of the space, and the “relationship” zone should take up *at least* 20%.
Most of the bottom 90% of guys would easily have the "relationship zone" be 40-50%, as they are just grateful for the female attention. There's also nothing wrong with girls who are a 6/10 if they have a great personality, as that can improve their attractiveness to you, even if her pic on Tinder is 6/10. If you're a 5/10 guy, then your "relationship zone" is probably going to be about 60-70% as you're more likely to be dating the lower end of that range, unfortunately.
I think the sizes are perfectly reversed!
An average man views women as
1) bottom 20% (1-3 SMV): Get away from me
2) middle 40% (4-5 SMV): Smash zone
3) top 40% (6-10 SMV): Ideal for relationship zone.
For an average woman it's exactly the reverse:
1) bottom 40% (1-4 SMV): Get away from me
2) middle 40% (5-6 SMV): Backup if Chad doesn't want me

I don't agree with the bit about not accepting sub 5 women as friends. There's no need for such an absolute rule. If she has some quality that makes me want to be friends then that's enough. For me friendship is easy come easy go, not demanding at all, so there's no cost to having an extra friend. If I enjoy spending time with guy friends more, then that will happen naturally, and that's ok, but I would not avoid a woman or seek a man to replace a female friend just to satisfy a rule.
I think this is even more true for women who are not genetically blessed, but have mostly healthy habits and high moral integrity. In many ways, women who are not able to rely on their looks are more grounded in reality.

*Why I don't use dating apps, and why this video is incorrect.* My scale goes from 1 to 10. However, a 10 is reserved for women that I actually like. The most beautiful woman I've ever met is objectively, probably a 6, but to me she's a 10. When I met her, I didn't think anything special about her looks, but as I got to know her and saw what kind of person she was, then that changed. It's like she slowly began getting prettier and prettier as time went on. Now, to me, she's the most beautiful woman on the planet. And it's because I know her and like her. You could put her in a lineup with a hundred other women who are professional bikini models, and I would still choose her. But if I had never met her and saw her profile on a dating app, then I probably wouldn't have swiped right on her. Women are the same way with how their attraction works for men. Attraction is much more complex than just physical attributes. This is why most men get no attention from women on dating apps. The solution to most mens problems is to accept that dating apps don't work, and learn how to talk to women in person.

Sure you can have your own scale, but his scale aligns with the generally accepted scale of looks only. I do think his percentages are off, because the top '10%' is probably really 15-20%, and most guys in the bottom 90% would expand this to 30-40% as they are just grateful for female attention.
@jt1559 I ignore all of the data from dating apps. And I just look at what I can observe in the real world. What I see every day is basically average looking men with what I would consider attractive women. I don't think most men are chasing after the top 10 or even 20%. Except for men who are also in the top 20% I think as far as looks go, then most men would be happy with a woman who's reasonably attractive.

Worth noting is how the size of each category varies greatly on an individual basis. For me as a man, the numbers are probably 30 50 20 and I'd imagine it similar for some women.
The one thing I will say is that there is a key difference for the "get away" category for men and women. The women will be all but guaranteed to get attention and a prospect of a relationship in time by men unless they are elderly (60+) and widowed/long term divorced where they have no desire for a man in their life. Not the case for men in the same situation.
Looks don’t necessarily matter for friendship you have to give people a reason to want to be friends with you as all. Not saying looks don’t influence all aspects of life just that it’s not necessarily the make or break. Men and women are socialized different so it’s harder to relate to each other on average

The issue is everyone has a slightly different definition of “Chad”. To some it simply means a guy who is desired by many women. If you’re looking exclusively at men say 18-35, I think 10% is reasonable for guys who can get girls pretty regularly, with a larger percentage being able to have occasional success. If your definition of Chad means he has to tick literally all the boxes (6’2+, model tier face, 10% bf, great hair etc) yeah it’s probably more like 1%. Then of course some bluepilled people will say anyone with charisma and hygiene is a Chad.

When I was aged 18 - 21 in college I was the most popular guy in college in regards to the ladies but my friend at college got me into his religion and told me to ignore all women and not to take them even as friends (even tho he tried with women, but failed mostly). I find it strange that people live their life like this. Not that it's right or wrong. Just strange to me. He talks about friendships and relationships like they are something you just go to the store and choose and buy. And then his thinking is...why choose one that does not benefit you, therefore, choose a better one. It all seems so robotic. This just isn't how life works for me or anyone I know. Relationships happen, you don't necessarily choose them. You get to know people and you either like them or you don't. Or you land somewhere in between the two. Would this wonderful woman find HIM attractive? Would HE be up to her standards?
The answer is a resounding no.
