Did you get yours yet? I'm 10 weeks in and all I get is smoke blown up my ass and pics of my order on a pallet in the shipping department. Easily the worst customer service I've experienced and that says a lot if you've ever dealt with Holley
@@Turbochapman Hey Brother... I have not pulled the trigger yet, as other life projects got in the way. Sorry to hear you're not getting good answers. Are they waiting for a ship method? Maybe the freight company is having issues due to all the SoCal snow, road closures, etc.. ? Keep me posted.
@@FastMonty its deeper than shipping issues unfortunately. 1st it was a wait time on manufacturing. I bought mine through POL(Performance Online) on Jan 22nd and i didn't here anything for about 3 weeks so I sent a email to them and Currie. Currie replied and told me that they wait until they have a larger batch to do. I get it and asked that they let me know if the build time would be an additional 4-5 weeks from then and didn't get a reply. I then follwed up at 8 weeks because I hadn't heard anything and I was told that the order was done and in shipping. 2 more weeks later I called Jon and he sent me a pic of my stuff on the pallet saying it would ship on Tuesday(this week), I asked for a tracking number and he told men they only send them at the end of the day. Its Thursday and I still don't have any info parts etc.
@@Turbochapman Ahhh, yeah, that makes sense. I totally understand the frustration. If Jon says it's shipping, I'm sure it's shipping. Not sure where you live, but weather in Southern California has been, well, not normal. So, I'd pad any freight shipments with a couple extra days. The bright side is, sounds like you're going to have a brand new rear end, very soon.
@@FastMonty I live in Washington State. I emailed Jon again(I'm sure he's tired of my shit by now) and he had to get up some ones ass in shipping , her excuse was that they don't ship fed ex from her part of the building and she needed to move my order to another warehouse to get my stuff shipped. Never mind letting anyone know there might be a additional delay after the previous 5 week delay. Then I had to miss 2 days of work so i could sign for my delivery. Original delivery was supposed to be saturday, then sunday. On Sunday afternoon the center section and axles arrived but no housing. The housing was delayed until monday, then I got a alert from fed ex saying the new delivery would be tuesday. On tuesday night the housing arrived. Right at 11 weeks overall. I should have stuck with Strange Engineering, or Moser. They've been great to work with in the past and very open when they had issues.
How thick is the (brake) plate that goes between retainer plate and axle?
What is the size of the nut that tightens up the retainer plate? I need to remove the nuts from the retainer plate in order to remove the drums since they are old and rusted.
What about the inner axle seal?
Excellent info but may aswell tell the cameraman to film the rubbish bin, couldn’t see anything 😂
is the bearing all ready pressed on the axle?
All Currie axle shafts as of 1/2023 come with a bearing pressed on the axle shaft from the factory.
Is the retainer required?
the retainer plate my rear axles came with is CE-9005TM1 (2)

I like the black stickers on those axles. My Currie axles have red stickers and I think the red is really ugly.
The Red Axle sticker designates that it was a Cut-To-Fit axle, compared to the Black sticker that designates that it was built to fit a specific housing.
@@CurrieEnt Yeah, but my axles aren't cut to fit axles. They came with black stickers but UPS damaged the box really bad during shipping and my stickers got all scratched up. I called you guys and you sent me new stickers, they got to my house in two days. That's two days from CA to TN! Really great customer service and great products. I'm not complaining at all, it just hurt peeling my beautiful black stickers off and replacing them with those butt ugly red ones.
