Fun fact: you can actually trade 1 Omni geode for 3 hay at the desert trader on Mondays. Super useful since Marnie stares at the microwave for 7 hours instead of doing her job on Mondays.
For real, what the hell is even up with that, should be able to put a hit out on them when they do things like that.

Other things about hay:
- if your barn or coop is 1000% upgraded and you can’t take hay out of the silo, take a cherry bomb and put it where the hay is in the animal coop and you can get hay out of it
- GET MORE SILOS
-plant some wheat in your greenhouse if out of season
-get a golden scythe from the grim reaper from the mine at the quarry. It’s just one floor and you can click on the grim reaper and you’ll teleport out
•the golden scythe will give you more hay
-put your hay in a chest once you get it out of the silo, ready for winter

My annoying list:
1. Crop fairy shows up the night of the 28th and enchants your weeds.
2. Trying to find that damn last artifact you need to complete the museum.
3. Realizing on the 3rd of Fall that you forgot to plant the Rare Seed.

I feel that golden walnut pain. Was stuck on 129 for 2 months in-game, only to realize that the one I was missing is one of the earliest walnuts you can encounter. I hated everything

I hate having the crop fairy grow my crops. I plan out my entire growing season on the basis of the crops taking their full time to grow. The fairy just screws everything up.

7:58 I believe the bird technically does still give hints at 120+ walnuts. It just doesn't give a hint for 7 specific walnuts: three from the ape at the banana shrine, three from darts, and one that's at the bottom of the gem bird area. If you have these and you're at 120+ the bird should still give hints. I may be misremembering but I think I just had the chests walnuts and the dwarf gadget walnuts left before, and the parrot still gave me hints.

Just put a tapper on that one tree on the lake island. It's not worth cutting when you're gonna lose 90% of the wood.

I actually have a brother who never talks to the villagers, only buy seeds and sell them as crops days later. Never visits the mine, and never buys animals... All he does is wake up, water crops and sell the harvested ones. If raining go back to sleep.

7:20 Waligug has clearly never worked retail, or he would know the burning hate all retail workers have for entitled customers who walk in just at closing and expect the employees to stay "just a couple minutes" (which will turn into half an hour) to help them.
But when it's a family owned business, you'll gladly stay for an extra hour for your best customers.

One time I was trying to build a coop, but I couldn't actually do so because MY CAT WAS SLEEPING AND BLOCKING THE WAY. SO I HAD TO RUN A L L THE WAY BACK TO THE FARM TO MOVE HIM, BUT BY THE TIME I GOT BACK, HE MOVED TO A DIFFERENT PLACE. smh

I've heard that that is something that has been fixed in the PC update 1.5.5. If you're on PC, you can nudge pets out of the way and also build over artifact spots.

how about "selling something rare in the shipping container for some extra G, and immediately needing it the next day"? this happens to me WAY. TOO. MUCH. like, i sold all of my sap and fiber because i was in desperate need of 5000G for a mermaid's pendant, not even two days later i needed 200 sap. and later, 200 fiber.
I found my first ancient seed, turned and gifted it to Abigail. And she hated it... :(
thats when you restart the day; and if you get a rare or RNG drop, WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY TO USE IT. just in case something bad happens and you need it back, instead of restarting the day and trying to get the RNG drop back again, you'd already have it
It was an accident to gift it. I just wanted to say hi, and didn't understand the hate until I realised my seed was gone. Still bums me out.

my very first playthrough, I was doing my daily NPC rounds in the bar, and accidentally gifted Shane a piece of driftwood. And then he said "Really??? It's my birthday and you give me this??"
I felt so bad I had to restart the day 😭

There’s also an unreachable panning spot in the river below the dig site. It’s kinda in the corner against the opposite shore and it’s caused me so much stress for something so small
THE MOST painfull thing is my friend marries haley every run, i hate having her on the same farm as me
I tought it was another youtuber, there are no 900 hours on the title.
Going to Clint to upgrade the water can because the next day is a rainy day, but realizing too late that the day after that is a festival which mean you won't get your watering can back and won't water your crops on that day, and as a result crops that would have been ready on the 28 won't. Just happened to me this week with the egg festival, it meant planting strawberry with the speed-gro from the spring crop bundle is useless, which in turn mean I planted cauliflowers on the first day for nothing. I almost deleted, but just missing 20 extra strawberries is not that big of a deal in a game that has otherwise been going fine, I planted with basic fertilizer instead of speed-gro and hope the quality difference will partially make up for the difference.
I don’t understand the hatred of watering lol, I actually like doing it. I find it calming lol
It's the loss of time and energy which does me. Very hard to fish or go mining if youre almost out of energy 😰
I had a different incident with a cat in one of my save files.
It literally got /into/ bed. Right in, under the covers, hogging that space. Took me half an hour (in-game time) to move it and get into bed. It was almost 2 am when I just managed to get in.
Why didn't you just click on the bed and move it?
In case it helps anyone: the only time dropped items actually despawn is in the mines. I‘ve dropped items at the pier and left them there for literal seasons until i came back and picked them up again :)
I don't know if you've done this recently, but they definitely despawn if you quit the game and reload after saving
I personally only like the fairy when it affects all of the group of like 9 plants that aren't consistent money makers. Like flowers or kale, just something you don't grow very often. If it's year one and I have a group of cauliflower in that size it's great too. I think the biggest problem that I have with it is that it always seems to go to the edge of your crops, so it get just a few of your plants. Or it goes over to the single flower that would be full grown the next day anyway.

I never run out of seeds, I always know exactly how much I need. Wait once I was saving my things for the Stardew Valley fair and I had a prismatic shard and accidentally gave Evelyn it. It was the only one I had on my farm besides when I got the Galaxy Sword.

At the beginning of each season if I am not done with the community center I make a memo in my phone of everything I need to donate for that season of the community center
for me, it's being so stubborn with my 100% perfection farm. it's the island farm. I hate it so much but I'm so close at this point, I have to just stick it put to get that statue
it’s really easy to change a farm through files….just look up a video it takes like 5 min top
I gave up on my first farm for perfection because I was just NOT getting either of the quests that allows you to get radioactive ore. It was the only thing standing between me and perfection, but after three in game years and nothing, I got sick of it.
My favorite thing is when the crop fairy comes on the last night of a season
the crop fairy just ruins my life, my entire system gets destroyed and i have to wait for all the other crops to grow (or die) just to get back on track, it's painful
The most painful thing for me while playing Stardew is probably getting disconnected midway in multiplayer when you're doing something important, not being able to get the items on the ground in multiplayer cause it's laggy, taking too long to load in multiplayer - basically a lot of things related to multiplayer. I wish the game shows a ping icon during co-op so we will know how high our ping is in the game.

With the last one getting the chest you can't even drop something to come back for it because you just throw it in the water.

Idk if it's still relevent but you can use the WASD keys to "aim" your fishing line, A D for left and right when you're facing up or down and W S if you're facing left or right, works great for those tough spots.
I did something similar to the egg hunt one, except I missed the stardew at the fair :/
You can cast your line a bit to the left or right if you hold that direction while you're throwing the line btw

The amount of times i've accidentally slept through the jellies event....
You probably know this already but you can steer your cast with WASD while casting a fishing pole. (A and D when casting vertically and W and S when casting horizontally.) It helps with some of the fishing bubbles.

i personally had no trouble getting all the walnuts, it was surprisingly easy for me. i just mined a LOT in volcano mines (best mines in the game imo), did a lot of ancient fruit farming there, fished, and broke the mussels a lot for a good source of sashimi before i used gold star cheese for energy. im also just observant when it comes to spots to forage walnuts. i think it took me about a year or so the first time i got to ginger island??
4:48 I did an accidental gifting, but I wasn't even trying to talk to the NPC I accidentally gifted it to. I was trying to warp. I gave Linus my Desert Warp Totem, a universally hated item, which I was GONNA use because I'm building relationship with Sandy. Fortunately, it's not...that huge of a friendship loss-I gave him a spice berry the next day to make up for it, and I was already at ten hearts with him-but yeesh.
u can use arrow keys to control where it lands when ur fishing, but yeah its annoying when u cant even reach it with it
