Yes, because the way Charlotte is portrayed in this series is a deliberate smearing of the entire culture from unhinged jealousy. No matriarch could be that pathetic without heinous consequences.
With the way they interact, I like to think that Lady Danbury and the Queen have a deep history with one another from their younger years that led to them having a deep contention but also deep respect between them
I agree. It does seem like they both have a history together since Lady Dansbury knew how to get Simon and Daphne to talk to the queen so she would let them both get married.
I think.. they might the ones responsible for the new mixed colour high society. She herself said that the marriage of Queen Charlotte and the King changes the society. I'd like to think that lady Danbury should have quite a hand in the union.
I feel a spin off should be about her...she seems to have a special relationship with Bridgeton boys besides simon. It's worth exploring her character over the years.

I think that Eloise and Lady Danbury have the same end goal of being successful and respected but have very different ways they go about it. Lady Danbury wants people to respect her by making herself terrifying. Eloise wants people to respect her for her mind and ideas.
Edit: Eloise wants success through herself but Lady Danbury wants it through status and marriage. I feel like that's the most fundamental difference between them because of how opposed to marriage Eloise is.
In the books, Hyacinth is more of a young Lady Danbury.

I know it’s a bit of a spoiler for those who haven’t read the books, but it is mentioned in one them that Lady D was just like Penelope Featherington, a social outcast. She takes a liking to Penelope in the books, I think much more than daphne, who probably reminded her of her best friend and daphne’s predecessor the former duchess. Lady D became a matron only those similar or same intellect could understand. She was the true hero of this book series.
