- With Miami-Dade animal shelters over capacity, the county’s animal services department is turning away some animals and waiving adoption fees for pets four months and older over the weekend.
A lot of landlords or apartment complexes don't allow dogs or have a restricted lust of acceptable pets and breeds. That has a lot to do with why people can't keep pets
It’s more about insurance.
A lot of homeowner/renters insurances won’t cover them if there’s animals. I literally had to tell my insurance I had no pets so they could cover me lol
I would think if insurance does cover pets. They would allow some type of pets. But they would of course be asking for pet deposits.
Rightfully so. Too many people are just carefree with the responsibilities than come with pet ownership.

Agree with your opinion !!!! We are owners , we have a house and we applied for a dog adoption and we are waiting for the approval, not body call me , the aplication saids waiting for review !!!!! and it is almost 1 month

It's another time to set a goal for the year, one need to set goals and take bold steps in achieving them. Remember success is not obtained overnight, you have to stop procrastinating and try what you have always wanted to improve in you're life and well being. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT AS YOU STUCK AT HOME AND HAVE MORE TIME FOR YOUR PETS ESPECIALLY DOGS THEY KEEP US MOVING AND IT MAKES NO SENCE AT ALL. YOU'RE AT HOME ALL DAY AND NOT AT WORK. ALOT OF THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST USING AN EXCUSE TO GET RID OF A DOG OR CAT THEY HAD NO BUISSNES GETTING IN THE FIRST PLACE. IM NOT GOING TO SUGAR COAT IT. Up here in geographic middle America you have to pay to bring a stray into a nonprofit animal shelter. This racket has been going on for some time now (DECADES)
