“I had to fight and giving up was not an option!” You spoke to me and gained a new subscriber ❤️ #MyWhy to buy my first home for my son and I
I'm amazed at how calm and comfortable you were making this video in a coffee shop.
I have the same thought! I love her calmness!
Melissa Hammersley well the shop is clearly shut. I saw a barista and only one other person for the whole video. Ok, edit: I saw some more people...
She has grown so much since i first started watching her in November 2018. She is so awesome.
It wasn't busy at all :-)
I love this video so much! It's just so motivating and inspiring! This video can really put a perspective on why we do the things we do, especially when it comes to finances!
This made me so emotional. I know
My why and I’m ready to start this journey ! 💕
Me too!!! Good luck
The first part of your video was so emotional for me and I was constantly nodding my head!!!Thank you for this....heading over to your website right now!! ❤️
Love your videos so much! Very inspirational and motivating 💕
Miko... Thank you for this. It really hits home for me. As soon as you said, "Mom of three", I was like is she talking to me? I am not single but we recently became a single income family. Thank you.
Just the video I needed!!
This advice is amazing. THANK YOU!

My motivational video to start a new budget now after returning from vacation. Thank you :)
That’s good stuff💜💜
Thank you for this
YASSS!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 NEW UPLOAD😍😍😍 I MADE MY ENVELOPES LAST NIGT 🙏🔥
I bought a car in December 2018 with a 5 year loan. I hate being in debt so I'm doing everything to get it all paid off by September/October 2020. I am determined to get it done. And it will.
This is the standard Financial Order of Operations priority list for budgeting:
Necessities
Starter Emergency Fund (1 month of necessities)
High Interest Debt
Full Emergency Fund (3-6 months of expenses)
Retirement Accounts (20% of gross income)
Optional Spending
Know your whys 👍🏻
I really like your jumper
As an autistic, with executive functions issues, and the impulsivity that comes from the ADHD-ASD budgeting is terribly overwhelming for us. Add to that my situation of being a student, it is a terrible combination of subscriptions needed for study, for software and cloud storage, with a limited income.
I just made my first cash envelopes today and I'm so excited to get started all thanks to you! Also love the setting for this video, really creative and calming
Just paid off my car . Yeah thank you for you help. I l8cevtour channwl
I ment I love your channel too are very motivational
I hope one day I can have a wonderful budget and can save some money. We unfortunately are paycheck to paycheck, have to decided what bills to pay each month. If you are like that is there any hope getting out of debt. Husband and I both work my two kids are young teens. Our bills are the basic bills that I can’t get ride of. Plus a house payment.
I’m beginning my cash envelope system this week! I’m excited for tomorrow to do my first envelope stuffing. When you make online purchases do you just deposit the cash back into your checking account after you’ve made the purchase with your debit card or should I perhaps set a “virtual” envelope? I don’t think I would have the discipline for that, yet. Lol. In my budget envelope rules, Amazon/online purchases can only be made from my “Misc” or “Fun” envelope unless it’s for work which I expect to be paid back by a client for.
I personally deposit money back into my checking account, mostly so I don’t end up spending my cash that I’ve already allotted for in my budget. For example, we did grocery pickup this week, so I had to pay with my card and I deposited money from my food envelope back into my account. If I hadn’t done that, my cash envelopes would’ve reflected me still having that money.
Basically, you have a total budget for each category each month, whether that’s virtual or cash spending, you have to find a way to stick to that. For me, it’s depositing cash whenever necessary and notating it in my expense tracker.
Hope this helps. I’ve been utilizing her method since August 2019 and LOVING it :)
❤️
How do you do your nails? They’re always so perfect
Could you do a budgeting for college students video?
You can definitely email support@thebudgetmom.com if you have any specific questions you are curious about :-) Making a video for college students who are budgeting is very broad due to the fact some people don't work during college, some work part time, some work full-time. Also, some people in college get their tuition and expenses paid by parents, they put themselves through school, or they take out loans.
Right now I'm trying to double credit card payments and pay them off
When will the workbooks be available??? I was hoping to start for February!
October is the next launch for the physical workbook, and until then the downloadable version is available
This is great video explaining the why but I thought it was going to be more of a step by step trying to figure everything out as a beginner where to begin, besides the why. Would you mind doing a video like that, or is that part of your class?
Her website has a free course check it out :)
For everyone who has purchased either a workbook or the pdf version you will have access to bbp central.com. Miko has detailed videos for every single worksheet. She shows in great detail what they are for and how to complete them. I recommend everyone go check this out.
I have been doing this system for over two years now and I still go back to the basic resources, because they are so helpful.
For anyone not making the purchase, you still have alot of help. On Miko's blog www.thebudgetmom.com she has set up a Start here page. She also mentioned her FREE Email Budgeting course. There are tons of free printables and cash envelopes there too.

October is the next launch for the physical workbook, and until then the downloadable is available :-)

Hi! I just purchased and printed your paycheck budget workbook 4 days ago. It’s really great and has really gotten me laser focused. My question is : When will the Live Rich Planner be available again???? Will it be available for download also-either way I really want that one too!! Thank you so much for your time and effort.
Antrelise Gantt it’s available for purchase once each year around June/July I think.
June is the next launch, and I don't have plans to provide it as a digital download

I am a graduate student and have only car loan $8900..other than that no credit card debt and planning to get married end of 2021. Should I pay car loan fast or pay the amount monthly and save for wedding side by side
Payel Datta that sounds like a good plan!
Go into marriage debt free 💗
I agree with Alicia. Go into marriage with no debt!
Well Balanced Wallet yesss 💕🙏🏽
I would pay off the car loan first - the interest on a loan will suck up your money if you don't pay it off quickly. Then you should still have plenty of time to save for a wedding.
I have been watching every video and I am beyond stressed. I am 24 years old with a two year old . I live with my sister for now and my job is through her. I make roughly 2,450 depending on how much work I do. So $515 a week but it fluctuates. I have 1,195 in bills and spend $360 on gas for work roughly . If I get an apartment I can only spend $400 a month and that’s leaves me with only $495 to pay to care for my child , pet, misc and food! That’s not possible. I have a partner but only one income
It's very important to get your partner on board the budgeting game. All the best! xCC
I have $10.81 to my name until next pay which is Wednesday, I need gas. I need a higher paying job. LOL
Have you tried looking into side hustles? You can make some extra cash on the side while you're applying for a higher paying job.
Try to see if you can make and sell anything? Do you have a hobby that you love?
I’m recently a single parent. What is my Why
Erica T only you know that. It’s your intrinsic motivation.
The survival of yourself and your children
New independence
My son is my why. Your why needs to be something/someone that makes you so emotional and lights a fire under you to push you towards your goals. Your why could also be yourself and working towards the life that you've always wanted for yourself! :-)
Can I submit my info for you to help? Thanks CINDEE PARKER
You REALLY need to separate the beginner's instructional vids from this massive playlist that has so many "budget with me" vids and such. It would be so helpful to new viewers
