Korina Ibanez Destroyer for the win! Damn I want one but they are hard to find.
Pete, I knew you were a man of taste...but you totally sold me when you played the Destroyer.!! Mine is a 1975. They Rock. You Rock!.. and the pedal sounds amazing!
Making a kinky pedal sound like that takes great talent. Loads of love
Great sounding track.
This chord progression and melody writing is tremendous!! Great work brother
Thank u!
Digging this innovative track!
What inspired playing! Truly awesome Pete!
Ahhhhhh some sweet 80’s vibes. Love the track Pete, thanks for another great demo!
Awesome! I'm really digging the song, IMO, the most interestingly adventurous song you've shared with us thus far, in regards to your original music. I love the dissonance at times, it's almost somewhat Zappa-esuqe at certain moments. Maybe even something that could've fit well on Vai's Flexable. In other words, great fucking song dude, more of THIS please!
Great video, cool pedal, great playing, super cool shirt sighting-Thanks Pete
Thanks!
Man... it sounds so cool with the whammy "flavorings"!
You, sir, can bring the best out of each pedal and sound and use it like it was likely intended and or if not better...👏👏👏
Freaking awesome! This tune took me to a happy place somewhere in the 80’s.
I own the Shigeharu,
Love it.
A very different sounding pedal, but useful. Thank you for the demo.
Awesome tune in the beginning! Very unique, but super hooky and catchy!
I don't like chorus very often, but this one sounds great! I like that you can push it into some delay effects being that is what these pedals are at their heart... bucket brigades.
Came for the pedal demo...came back for that jam!
Great track, dig it!!!
Thanks!!!
Wow what a track.
Whenever I'm in doubt about which gain pedals to use I always default to my Caroline Wave Cannon Mk.1 & Olympia Fuzz.
They do make outstanding pedals.
Great stuff, Pete. I'm stealing a few of those chords/licks.
Great phrasing and melodic chord structures there in the intro Pete!... Had a hint of like Elliott Smith~ 👏🏻
I totally agree! I was trying to track down the Elliott Smith tune that has that chord in it .
@@ampgent - after a grueling 1/2 hour of scrubbing the library in Spotify....😂
I've concluded that the riff in this video that you first hear it @ 0:11 ...Although in a different key-
Is similar to
Waltz #1
🤝 🎉
Congrats on the Destroyer Pete, result.
Nice Explorer Pete, sounds cool... and looks the business
Love the tip of the hat to 'Parachute' Pedal nails the tone!
I had to go listen to it after to make sure I wasn’t too close, it was actually unintentional and then I said wait a min did I steal this idea? Ha. That’s music for ya it gets in there and influences you
@@PeteThorn Haha it really is but that's part of the beauty of it!
Such great harmony guitar orchestration, man.
And cool use of drums, excellent and inspiring as always.
You make it look and sound easy, but it's hard work, talent and experience.
The end sounds like the "Karma Police" ending, I guess that's what Ed O'Brien was doing with his delay pedal.
(That tree wood Ibanez Destroyer sounds nice also, sorry about that bad joke, but it's a true regular quote, from @NeoGeoFanatic about guitars ;) ).
Not a fan of the Tones of this pedal, but I'm definitely a fan of Pete, thanks for sharing! I hope you have the best Christmas buddy!
Awesome track. It reminds me a little bit of silent lucidity
OMG,...I have a pedal that Pete has never demo'd! I don't know how to feel about this.......I love this pedal btw.
Nice pedal. I noticed your "Guitars etc" shirt. "Guitars etc." was the name of the music store here in Seattle during the 70's and 80's. It's where I bought my 70's Fender Champ.
Wow - very cool! I am very into Seattle history. Any links you can share ?
@@danielpirone8028 Check out "Seattle Vintage Plus" on Facebook.
They do make great gear but I don't like the off kilter mind warping effects Guess I'm an old school guy as far as that goes or just set as a traditional delay.. can't go wrong there Good stuff 👍 if your like me definitely check out their other pedals Top shelf for real
There's that Ibanez Explorer
3:55 ok, so everything is analog except... the wet signal. That's quite generous calling it "half analog / half digital really." Weird flex on their part to talk up all the analog part, when the actual effect is digital, and just things like levels and mixing are analog. Not that it matters -- it sounds good. Even so-called "analog" BBD delays are technically essentially digital in the sense that the signal is sampled by a clock.
Also, I wouldn't call the square wave mode "radical." It's very traditional... That's the sound of the famous Roland Juno Chorus. Square wave, dark, zero delay time, low rate, 50-50 mix.
I’ll play the stick in the mud. Altho your playing is always great, this pedal drives me up the wall. 😬😖
The problem with Pete’s channel is he gets paid to review these things, never give them a bad review, and makes every pedal sounds great. I can’t actually tell if it’s a good pedal or not
There's no such thing as bad sounding gear. Just bad players.
I believe he will only demo a pedal that he thinks is good. But your point is taken.
My take is that good players can showcase the capabilities of the pedal. FYI I bought this pedal before seeing this review. Works and sounds amazing
Sounds terrible
