    I have seen a lot of how to videos for smoker builds and yours is by far the best one out there. You provide a lot of information that is needed that others do not include. Thank you.

    It's nice to see another fabricator show off skill sets. It's pretty uncommon for older guys to show the shit they've learned over the years.

    Here's a tip I've found helpful for making the vertical lines around the tank. Use a roll of magnetic sheet vinyl. 3" x10' for $12-$15 on amazon. Great Videos by the way!

    Can you cut at the 12 and 3 oclock marks or so you have to come in a couple inches on each mark then cut

    • @SmokerBuilder
      @SmokerBuilder  Před rokem

      Hey buddy, yes you can cut at 12 o’clock and 3 o’clock.
      The only catch is at the door might be a little heavier at the 12 o’clock position

    I’m in the process of building a 250gal smoker. I have some questions. Are the cut out for the doors 1/4 of the circumference or slightly less? Does the cooking grate sit exactly halfway or slightly lower?

    Do you have a video on how to layout the holes that are cut in the round ends where the firebox is welded to the cook chamber ?

    LOL, the tape measure starting at 10", I had to laugh. Not that you did it, just at the comments. I do similar, all my tapes have incremental inch marks after each 12 inches, so the first inch after 12 has 2 markings, 13 and 1, if i need 6 inches I start at 12 and read the 6 on the tape.

    How much would you say a typical 250gal reverse flow smoker weighs?

    • @SmokerBuilder
      @SmokerBuilder  Před 3 lety

      So many things vary, but normal would be around 1000 to 2000 lbs. every one is different depending on customer options.

    • @SmokerBuilder
      @SmokerBuilder  Před 3 lety

      We bounce between soap stone (chalk) for the white or for the black marks. We use the Milwaukee marker red body with a black cap.
