It is so great to hear Maggie’s perspective on attraction. When I was a kid, I always thought I was broken because I didn’t experience attraction like other people. I never have been able to look at a person and immediately feel a deep attraction. For me to be attracted to someone, I have to get to know them first. It helped me so much when I learned that demisexuality existed, and it helps even more to see people talking about it (or just the traits of it). So, thank you Maggie for making me feel a little less alone

The best advice I got for dating, was if a friend told you they were being treated the same way you were in your relationship would you be upset for them? If that behavior would be unacceptable for your friend then it’s also unacceptable for you!! Always think outside your personal bias and see what’s really ok or not, this helped me when learning what was not ok after bad relationships
I love David talking about "the gut is a muscle". I heard something recently that really hit me the same way: "they aren't your type, they're your pattern" ❤
I agree with David that gut feelings are not always reliable. They can be influenced by past trauma and what can be considered a gut feeling can just be a fight or flight response, stress, etc. I agree that you have to “work out” your gut and consider if that gut feeling is actually a gut feeling or if it’s being triggered by past events, which can stop you from learning experiences, growth, and finding out what actually makes you happy and what makes you want to run the other way. Relationships are tough because media sets unrealistic expectations and you typically don’t get taught how to be in a relationship or what should be considered healthy. It’s oftentimes trial and error and that can take its toll.

My thoughts on soulmates is that you CREATE a soulmate bond through the choices you make in your relationship. It takes years to really have that deep bond
I am a serial monogamist. My husband and I went on a first date, he wanted to stay casual and get to know each other...and the second date he asked me to be his girlfriend 😂.
The whole episode was so amazing and David was delightful but Matt's outro was probably the best one so far!
The question about checking all the boxes but it doesn’t feel “right”- sometimes it’s a tendency to self sabotage.
I tell my friends it’s okay to panic and have doubts- acknowledge them and keep going. Especially early on when you’re still getting to know the person, it can get overwhelming. I feel like the weeks right before the DTR stage were the hardest. Sometimes it helps to remind yourself just because you’re dating this person now doesn’t mean you have to date them forever. Idk it helped me commit!
I literally just had a convo with my mom last night that dating girls now is like trying to start from scratch at 15 lol
I was in a real toxic relationship before I met my current boyfriend. There was such a shift when we started dating. He helped me find myself again, my true self. I couldn't be more grateful. To be 100% yourself around someone is amazing.
So Maggie describing her experiences with dating someone toxic and manipulative definitely spoke to me as it's something I want through with an ex. I thought he was the best I was ever going to get so I put with what I now know is abusive behavior (mental and emotional). Also speaking on experience of meeting the right person at the wrong time, that's what happened with my husband and I. We met back in 2005 when we were in college and became fast friends. I had the biggest crush on him but I put myself in the friendzone as soon as he mentioned his girlfriend and knew I needed to move on from the crush. Interesting enough that's when I met my now toxic ex and we started dating about 6 months after meeting. Cut to more than 10 years later and I've completely cut my toxic ex out of my life (with going through therapy to help with the healing), I met up with my now husband in 2019 and we've been together ever since. You could even call him my soul mate. Lol
Love the show, my wife and I are the same age as Keith’s parents. Our daughters are the same age as Becky and Keith. We love Matthew, our cousin was 5 years behind him at university of Rochester. We love it when Rachel and Becky are on the show. We will watch when they are on. Look forward to that date.

I was in a somewhat manipulative relationship for a long time and was generally unhappy. It actually took me falling head over heels for another guy to realise what a shitshow I was in. My new relationship is so much easier and I feel like a new person... DON'T SETTLE.
definitely agree on listening to your intuition wish I had when I was 17, I could have avoided of being in an abusive relationship.
Drinking just coffee and intermittent fasting diets leads to having great abs and a lot of bad breath :D 😆

Right off the bat I love David's shirt
But going into that pet comment I had an ex who lived at home at his parents dog loved my attention but the day I broke it off, he wasn't home, but his mother had the dog on a leash and it's like he knew. He was growling. He'd sensed the energy I was giving out. Probably the only moment a dog didn't like me.

How long should you wait to fart? I'm not suggesting that you ask the person to pull your finger on the first date. But there are couples who have been married for 10 years and have never farted. It sounds suspicious. It makes you wonder "Is this person a human?" Only a superhero could hold in all of their farts for 10 years.

Maggie says here that she was 26 when she met Zach, but I don’t know if that was just to joke that she was the same age as David, or something, because that really doesn’t add up since she was at Keith and Becky’s wedding in 2017, when she must’ve been 25. And she was also 26 in 2018, which was the year when they posted the my secret girlfriend video, so I don’t know if she just said the wrong number

I do not regret getting married at 21 because of my two beautiful daughters. but my exwife and all the red flags she demonstrated before our relationship blew up makes me jaded now when it comes to long term relationships. There's only what's right for you and generalized "perfect" will harm any relationship.
