Honestly very happy with what this updated added to the game in terms of quality of life features. I still loathe the assassinations as a way to end the game, but I think overall KOTC has improved with this patch. It still needs a few more finer options for roleplay and plotting in my opinion as so much is still decided and restricted by total RNG with the events (in particular whenever one faction gets back-to-back events while others get none).

Also, I do think that the requirements for schemes should be raised, since- at least as often as I've seen your videos- they have a pretty good chance of being completed *just by some of the earliest choices.*
I think the nobles should probably have weaker starting positions. It's kind of silly that they can start the game with some objectives already completed.
This is why you never let Twitch play with you, they are going to be more Treacherous than a Praetorian Guard who became a Jannisary.
*Nobles:* "Okay, good news: the world is going to end: maybe by Demons, or Giants, or Capitalism, but it's GOING to happen, and the king is going down with it."
*King:* "..uhhh, guys? Can't you just....you know...drink the Koolaid or something? Why do you care what happens to me when you're trying to start an age of eternal darkness that's going to end you too?"
*Nobles:* "OH, I'm sorry, you want to LIVE to see the end of the world?!? What, is being assassinated before the end too GOOD for you now?!?"

I'm looking forward for more streams of King of the Castle. The game is full of whacky scenarios, and watching Rimmy interact with his chat is something unimaginably entertaining.
I had a lotta fun during this as Gruntmaster27... Truly if only the monarch married her daughter the monarch never woulda had to face my rebellion...
I still feel bad about the rebellion. Its such a sucky way to play.

@@kestutisvaiciunas8663 According to chat at the time, only two of the options gave you a shot of surviving (knife and guards) and both are random chances, with (according to chat) the knife being a lower chance.

Also maybe letting someone's Defiance go to 9-10 isn't the best idea, as funny as it is to screw over Chat, or at least some of them. Given that both losses were due to that, and not any of the schemes set at the start of the game. Maybe.

Despite all the improvements, this game is still really heavily rigged in chats favor, and that honestly needs to be fixed :/

Assassination defo needs to be removed or revamped. Its just boring.
I mean yes and no. It is boring with the low cost but Rimmy was extremely silly in trusting a Count noble when told to call for his Count guards to stop the Count assassin. RNG also has never been Rimmy's friend in all the content I've watched.

In Order to bring about a Golden Age to your Kingdom, there must be a Few Things that need to be Addressed for the Kingdom.
• 1). Trade and Diplomacy: These Two Items usually go Hand in Hand, With Trade comes Diplomacy and Vice versa. You must have Some Reasonable Sense of Diplomacy in order to have Trade for the Prices of Goods being Imported into and Exported from the Kingdom may Determine whether or not you'll have Sufficient Funds in the Treasury for the Needs of the Kingdom. However, much like any other Leader, You are Responsible for the Safety and Well Being of the Kingdom and Therefore you must Ensure that your People can and will be Happy.
• 2). Military Power: In order to have Decent Trade Routes and Provide for the Security of your Kingdom, You're going to need a Military. Best Case Scenario for Military Strength is to Hope for a 2 to 1 in favor of your Loyalists should a Civil War breaks out, which can be done by Ensuring that all Regions have Similar Military Scores. If the North is Maxed out, then the Counts and the Coast must be Maxed out as well. For other Nations in the World, a Large and Formidable Military is a Sign for them to not mess with you. If you have even a "Modestly Sized" Military or in a State of Unrest, Many Nations may see you as weak and may take the opportunity to start a war or even Covertly Support those that wish to see you overthrown.
• 3). Fiscal Spending (Aka Responsibility for the Treasury): The Treasury holds all the Taxes from the People of the Kingdom as well as Gold from the Kingdom's Exports. This in turn will allow you to Increase the Size and Strength of your Military as well as Pay for any Goods that are Imported into the Kingdom. Any Gold in the Treasury that's Left over after that can be Allocated to things like maybe Better Streets, Housing or just Better Infrastructure in general. There's only so long a mere Peasant can Tolerate Living in a Tiny Cottage with a Thatched Roof which needs to be Checked for Leaking every so often.
I think the Best way for the Next Session with Chat is This:
• Try choosing the Baron's, the Counts and the Coast.
• Set the Taxes as Follows:
• Barons get the Average Tax.
• Counts get the Highest Tax.
• Coast gets the Lowest Tax.
• Don't go down to Grave Robbing as that'll soon set you up to fail and allow for Rebellions and Revolts to happen. Instead, Focus on Trade with the Other Kingdoms or Nations of the world.
