King of the Castle definitely sits as one of the better 'Twitch Chat' games that exist out there. That being said I do hope the dev decides to give the players more ways to influence things or the monarch more to do, as while the game is always going to be quite heavy RNG, we had scenarios where people were simply doomed by RNG or having other factions consistently get events while theirs gets none. In our second match for example a rebellion happened and it was 3 Chiefs events back to back, with no other faction getting an event, all the while the Chiefs were gaining power and points. I understand the game's not trying to be a real kingdom simulator, it's a silly party game, but I think improving some of these areas would make me want to play it again as RNG can only be funny for so long before it becomes tiring.

The game really needs more than just 3 phases for the plots. If it was 4 or even 5, there'd be a bit more room for variance across the noble's actions while right now a lot of people die not that far in from what I've seen. There's just no room for the King to give a faction an inch while they focus in on another because of how much that inch contributes to victory.

If you didn't know, starship troopers, terran command just got an update which allows for people to make their own maps.

I don't imagine the Barons would just toss away one of their own noblewomen like that either, and I feel like she would have developed feelings for this King who accepted her quirks and interests even as "un-womanly" as they were in this time period. She definitely would have been the type to fight for his safety and act as leverage in securing a peaceful exit from the throne.
@@Lazarultos Thus my thought process, the King favored the Barons enough to buy the loyalty of some of them, enough so that he could weasel his way out of life in a prison cell. With the help of his wife, he could be peacefully exiled to the frontier. If this were to happen I can see one of his descendants reclaim the throne should he play this game again.

Taking down the bandits was the moment he lost. That increased the Barons' trade to the threshold they needed to buy enough gunpowder that they then immediately used to build that game winning army.

Game needs a serious re-look at balance otherwise I don't see how any Monarch lives long.
However, as a Member of the Victorious Barons, and then Victorious Counts(I was even in the plot!), AND THEN a member of the Patricians who voted on the Barons winning (So not an L, big W for me) I find it very balanced.

@@kv4648 Two Matches the first day, then he tried to play Squad with Warpugss the next day and did a Speed round while stuck in Squad queue.
Now that I come to think of it, kinda wish there was a loyalist faction of nobles in the capital who would aid the king with their votes.
Coz honestly if I was to be in someone's chat and they are playing this game, I would probably like him/her enough to want to serve loyally instead of plotting rebellion...

Tbh, since chat wanted 3 "good guy" factions, you could have replaced barons with chieftains and took the southern duelists as the third faction. Not that it would have saved you in the end 😅

Was a bit late to that Stream but it was fun winning and overthrowing Rimmy

Still, that *one* moment were he does his job as king being what ruins it all, while realistic is perhaps not so good for replayability.
What is more interesting is the people's hero who was the main opposition to the government acted in the interests of the king! This could be litteraly an ideal symbiosis, when Robin hood keeps Rimmy's vassals weak and protects locals from oppression. If he thought more about his people and were more idealistic he would hold to his power!

Sorry, there’s no single player. There’s only “Twitch Mode” and “Party Mode”. The former was shown in this video, the latter is getting a group of people together and giving them the room code.
