  • 3rd time's the charm! I finally managed to get a successful video of this 3T22 in Irishtown, which is about 10 miles east of Gettysburg. A big thank you goes to Maurice, a firefighter at the company who pulled up and stayed with me for the test. He also gave me an app to access the activation tones, which helped a lot! I hope everyone enjoys the video; don't forget to like, comment, share and subscribe for more!
Adams County tests on the first Saturday of the month at noon, alternating alert and attack each month.
    Timestamps:
1:59: Sentry 3V8-H in Mcsherrystown winds up (2.4 miles away)
    2:48: 3T22 winds up

Lol 😂 they activate them one by one, so that's why it takes so long.

The antenna that receives the signal to activate the siren is mounted inside the station on the wall above the siren control box.

The tones you hear over the radio are actually our pager activation tones. The siren activation tones used to be a dual tone that immediately followed the long tone. This activated the siren. After the county upgraded the radios to the 800mhz system a few years ago they switched the remaining sirens in the county to alphanumeric activation on the higher frequency.

Cold War, but mainly the SD-10's in the L.A. and San Diego area in the 1950's and 1960's.

@PineTree Sirens lol yes I know. Most of the sirens in my area were installed in the early 1960's for Civil Defense, weather warnings, and fire department use. In the late 1980's, however, they had been gone.

It only takes that long because it was test day and the county dispatch goes through each department’s tones one by one starting with the lowest station number to the highest. There were 9 departments tones before this one.

Appreciate Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Rozardner Lucky Interview Reality (google it)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for firefighter interview tips minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my old buddy Taylor after a lifetime of fighting got cool results with it.
