When you took the factory mic, will that mean that the mic doesn't work with the native head unit functions? Could i get a splitter for the mic to work double duty?

I have a front camera installed on my tacoma. Would installing this unit interfere with the front or back camera functions in any way?
Front cam will work without issues with this kit
Do you have to connect the phone with a wire or can android auto work over bluetooth? Perhaps use the usb interface to plug in a bluetooth dongle :)

Yes there is app setting in the screen as well. Yes you can change the wall paper to what is available via apple

Yes this is compatible with 2019 SR5 and your backup camera will still show. And the steering wheel control track up and down will work

I was really excited to find this because I don't want to go aftermarket but after seeing the price I think an aftermarket unit makes sense.

I was going to ask the same exact question as Beat Sonic says "2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma with JBL only" and this seems to contradict the video and their comment below but if it works I will be upgrading as soon as they come back in stock

You can’t watch CZcams on carplay. You Can on phone mirroring. Yes you can combine w it u phone mirroring kit. But will need audio switcher since both devices will use the same audio input

I think this is the same exact functionality as the CARABC unit @ $200. What's the difference besides price?
Ours don’t glitch. It works like oem, does not run via android and need updates, you won’t lose your backup camera or sonar, image quality is better, sound quality is better, phone call quality is better, steering wheel controls work, US tech support and customer service.
I had CARABC and screen and phone quality was terrible so I returned it. Is the screen and phone quality really like OEM with your product?@@BeatSonicUS

It works with non JBL as well. However the screen resolution will be less sharp than the JBL model

I know I already asked this but I got 2 questions when I plug my iphone into my car the aux option doesn’t come up only the usb option phone doesn’t have a headphone jack either. Does the CarPlay box make the aux button the default or something? Also do I need entune for this my 2018 Prius 2 has entune audio. No jbl, apps, or nav. Will this still work? Sorry for asking these questions so much just want to make sure that my car is compatible before I buy it.
Yes carplay kit will activate aux. you do not need entune. Your car is compatible

When I plug my phone into my car the only the usb option comes up not the aux does the CarPlay box change that so that the phone goes to the aux input. And I have 2018 Prius 2 that has entune audio. No apps button or Navigation. Will this still work with my car?

$500 and the phone has to be plugged in? If this was like $200 you’d make more money due to a lot more sales, but at $500, people will just buy a different head unit that is both more powerful as well as wireless CarPlay. Just my 2 cents.

Has anyone experienced that while using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, it suddenly switches to the reverse camera on its own without pressing any button? Sometimes it goes back to the Android Auto screen, and other times it stays on the reverse camera. Am I the only one with this problem?

This connected via wire. Any carplay or Android Auto compatible apps that you have installed on your vehicle will show on the interface automatically
