SO awesome! I wish my ears were naturally pointy haha. It's oddly adorable!
Lucky!
Mines are pointy and sure rias
There's cosmetic surgery for that kinda thing. I think the process is called pointing?
Awesome! All or your DIYs are perfect for beginning cosplayers that are on a lower budget than others. The step are simple and always cheap.

Me: *has a huge project due in tomorrow*
Me: *watches video on how to apply prosthetic elf ears
I ran out of liquid latex and really wanted to try this so I used pva glue. It dried clear so I had to paint it but they turned out great!
I'm so glad you commented this! I don't have latex and buying some would be a waste just for making these, but I have pva glue so :D
I live in South America and finding prosthetics to buy is both super hard and EXTREMLY expensive... Thanks to your videos I have been able to make a lot of things on my own and have saved TONS of money. Thank you so much! ♥
Glad you found it useful! :D
I also live in South America but i live in Venezuela and we cant find ANYTHING here and i was SO looking foward to this tutorial but we dont have any of those things here... and if someone is selling them they can be too much expensive cause it cant be found anywhere else.. :/ still thought i'd do it if i had the materials..
Neni mujica Oh I'm in Caracas ;) I found liquid latex and it IS expensive but I found it. Not saying we can find EVERYTHIGN but that her tutorials have helped me a great deal to make some cosplay pieces. If you are near me I can let you borrow some liquid latex or something ;) Saludos!
O.o i live at the west of Caracas is fun to talk to someone from my own country in english.. she's helped me a lot too with cosplaying and makeup and where did you find it? i know it is really expensive. Gracias :D
Hey! :) i am also from south america and i find that instead of using liquid latex, you can try using fake eyelash glue :) i have used it for a few props, and though its not the same it can work well :) (cheaper than the real thing at least)
Tip: be sure not to get any liquid latex/prosthetic adhesive on your baby hairs because taking off the prosthetic later will be a huge pain, however if you know for certain you are getting latex on your eyebrows, lashes or anything like that, you could apply vaseline to the hair so it wont stick. (:
Emily Aquino I know this is four years late but you can glue the hairs down with a glue stick before and it won’t stick as much but if you get it in your hair any oil based product will take it out when you soak it
Naw just rip it off the pains *delicious*
I got latex on my eyebrows once and used Dawn Dish soap and a Lil water on a cloth to get it off, that's another way to get it off.
This would be awesome for Halloween! Sadly, Halloween is not celebrated in Australia. Sending you hugs and kisses from Australia x
I know how you feel, same in my country.
What? Why?
Celebrate anyways :D
Felicia Kullberg
it is just an American tradition, here in Germany, it is just not celebrated, though there are other German traditions you don't celebrate, too :D all the monster makeup tutorials are really fun to do, but sadly, there's not really an opportunity to go for it :D
Whaaat? Where I live in Australia, we celebrate Halloween! Trick-or-treating, parties and everything... Not as much as Americans, but it exists.
Ohh the tip with the triangle cut paper was exactly what I needed, thanks!
I love everything about your videos. It's simple and the end results are perfect. Thank you for being such an inspiration to us all! :)
I'm glad you find them so helpful! :D
I'm so happy because 2 years ago I made some elf ears just like that, and watching you, one of my idols, teaching it, makes me proud of myself. Love your work!
This is so far one of the most beautiful and realistic ways I've seen so far. You're brilliant. Keep being you
It can't be any easier and they look gorgeous. What a cool tutorial! I love it 👍
This is brilliant! Love the ideas you come up with, I'm so impressed!
This is so wonderful! I spend so much money on ears that are very difficult to apply. This is so simple and the ears look very natural as well.
I was really waiting for this DIY :D thank you so much for uploading it, Klaire ❤
Glad you found it helpful! :D
This tutorial is amazing! It really helped with one of my cosplays!

Oh! This is very helpful and I will definitely use it! Always thought of ordering elf ears but I was not so sure if they'd really fit and just look weird. So thanks a lot!
This is a brilliant technique!
Absolutely amazing! Thanks for showing us! 😊

This is amazing! I've been searching for something like this for a long time! Thanks for the video!
Thanks a lot for this video! After a bit of trial and error these worked out perfectly for me! I'd recommend spirit gum as adhesive if you plan on reusing the prothstetics. Plus it gives a really strong bond to your skin so they'll stay put all day
Oh my god, I REALLY love your tutorials !!
Great tutorial! I might use this when i get enough supplies
How talented & creative you are! I just enjoy watching you create beautiful items from a hot glue gun.
This is the best I've seen for DIY ears! You rock! Thank you! :)
Thank you sooooooo much. I didn't want to try at first because it looked really hard, but it was a lot easier than I thought. It worked perfectly. Thank you!!!!
Easy and looks good! I will definitely try this out!
Thank you so much!!! I didn't know why I didn't think of liquid latex! Yahhh!! Now I don't have to do that painful looking think of taping your ear!!
I thought this was going to be super difficult! Thank you for sharing. :)
* squee * this is so cool! I've been wanting to complete my character costume, but the elf ears I find at costume stores look more like they belong on Christmas elves -_-
So this is great! I'm totally gonna try this out!
The best elven ears tutorial on the whole YpuTube, congrats :D
Thank you so much! I Really needed this for my Rin Okumura Cosplay!

Freakin awesome! So going to do this for the gothic & fantasy fair next saturday!

Very good , what can I use if allergic to latex ?
Thank you sooo much for this idea!
SUPERRRR cool!
Omg this is so helpful fot my asuna cos!!
you can use a brush washed with soap but not rinsed before use it with latex, as with gum reserve in drawing ;)
I got some normal latex elf ears off of Amazon, and was wondering how to pierce them? Mabey you could help 💖
That is awesome!
thanks! thats so clearly explained!
Can you show us how to make those LONG elf ears? Is it the same way or would there be another way?
Chibi-Italian another hetalian here!
As this is a pretty amateur way of making ears, yes, there definitely are other ways to do this. The easiest one would be to cast your ear in alginate, fill it with plaster of Paris, take some non-drying sculpting clay such as plastilin, sculpt the longer ear and apply a few coats of liquid latex.
If you wanna get more realism than what is achievable with latex, look into mold making and silicone prosthetics
Thank you, I wanted to know how to make them like forever now :)
Hello! Nice tutorial! How long does it take latex to dry on your ear please?
Love this!
GENIUS
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Jay Loftus 😍😍😍

uff ame tu tutorial solo una pregunta es plastilina o es algun material especial la masa blanca? saludos desde mexico
I’m trying this
would it still work if it was longer? I want to make long elf ears for a high elf, but I dont know if it will be too heavy.
Question: About how thick should the clay triangle mold be?
Genious!
great tips! I can be Vulcan like Mr. Spock's ears, too!
