You said you like harder tips do you use a med or hard on your Revo instead of the recommended soft. You now use a 12.4 any reason you didn’t stay with a 11.80 like the Z2 11.75 you were used to? I prefer a harder tip, even on my Revo, for the reasons here:
      billiards.colostate.edu/faq/cue-tip/hardness/
      I currently have a Triangle on my Revo.
      Concerning the preferred diameter, it doesn't really matter to me since I use an open bridge. I use the 12.4 because the 11.8 was not available at first and I got accustomed to the 12.4. :-) You know, interestingly, you can put and store the jump cue butt in jump cue butt socket in the large storage pocket(where you put the pool glove, shaper tool, mechanical rest, etc). Anyway, is that a 3x4 pool cue soft butterfly case? Oh and uh…I have a feel that some beginners and intermediate pool players start off with something basic like 1 playing cue, 1 break/jump cue, and 1 2x2 or 2x3 case.

    Hi DrDave! I would love if you did a quick review of the SVB vs Sanjin rack 3 miscue call. It seems like he made a legal jump accidentally, but they called a foul, and even he was confused. They called it a scoop.
    Love your videos! Keep aiming to swerve! :)

    • @DrDaveBilliards
      @DrDaveBilliards  Před rokem +3

      The call was incorrect. The shot was a scoop jump resulting from a miscue, but it was not intentional, nor did it serve a useful purpose (even though the legal hit on the 1 was lucky). A miscue or scoop jump is a foul only if it is intentional to benefit the shooter in some way (in which case it would be an unsportsmanlike conduct foul). Sanjin was obviously attempting to draw the ball.

    • @johnholmstrom4212

    Well Dr. Dave I would dump the Predator Case, get a JBCases that is better Cue protection.
    Plus JB can even do a Billiards U Ligo on Case.
    Taom Chalk rocks, u you our Ultimate Tip don’t rock.😡

      I still have my old case for when I travel. But a JBCase with the BU logo would be cool.

      ... only in the VNEA Nationals in Vegas periodically. I played this year. I am a professional instructor, not a pro player, so I don't play in pro tournaments.

    I'm only giving this one four stars, because Samm Deip was nowhere to be seen. But Dr. Dave needs to wear earplugs when he breaks... _DAMN_ . Do you offer them to unwary spectators?

      I should have said instead: "energy bar with protein." It gives me both immediate satisfaction and long-term energy.

      I thought so too, but many people have asked for this over the years.
