    Hey Brian I had the same issue with the grip on my lucasi hybrid wearing off. I bought a velvet grip wrap from ozone billiards for 11 bucks and I love it. Looks great feel great . Just a suggestion. Also if you go that route I'd suggest wear the grip is wore wrapping it with elastical tape the sliding the grip over the cue. I haven't had any issues with the velvet wrap slipping or any wear. Looks great

    Absolutely great video, I enjoy all your content. You pointed out the Last 4 Ever tip tool, which I also have in my bag but have only used once. The trouble I had in particular was with the burnisher along the sides of the tip. When I tried using it it didnt work too well, and the sides of the tip ended up with some ugly dull streaks. I bought the tool about 2 years ago and now contemplating getting rid of it, but would like to give it another try before deciding to dump it. For burnishing tips I been using the Ulti-mate Tip tool for many years, which works very well to get the job done. It's also the original metal version, not the cheepy plastic ones available today. Can you do a demonstration video on how to use the Last 4 Ever tip tool properly to get that flush "shiny" look when burnishing the sides of a tip? Such video would really help me and others who may be having the same issues with it.

      I like Players for under $230 and Lucasi in the $300-$400 range. CueTec makes some good, very low priced cues in the $120 range. Even though they recently came out with a $500 CF cue, the low priced market it really their niche. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.

    I have had several ikon predators. and 2 p3's I always go back to the p3. I have a ikon 2 but its gray wood. the P 3 is a Firmer hit and thicker in the butt. I feel like it helps keep the cuing straighter as the ikons feel so thin. you got a lot of stuff. I am actually liking my 314.3 more lately than my revo 12.4. guess its just what im used to.

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  Před 3 lety +2

      Cues are such a personal thing it is hard for me to recommend one specific one for you. My first predator Cue was an Ikon one with the 314 shaft. That was over 10 years ago but I would probably buy the same thing today. If it’s within your budget I would get a Revo shaft but you just added $200. $200 could buy you a good deal of coaching which would be more valuable then a better shaft.

      My Blak 4 is Gen 2 and the grip is not rubber. The wrap is Leather Luxe - Iv never seen a rubber grip on any of the Blaks, only the Leather Luxe - Also there is never any wear on my grips because I tend to hold the cue at the end of the butt, and off of the grip. I have never replaced a grip on a cue. I do have a lucasi BB that has a rubber grip and the grip is worn but the cue is 15 years old. The only reason it has any aging to it is because the grip goes down lower on the butt like a Predator Sport 2. I dont use the Lucasi any more. It's the break cue in my backup bag now.
