Love, love, love this show! One of my favorite discoveries in 2022, we've been binge watching it over the holidays. Bower birds are so fascinating... does the female ever decide that none of the displays are up to par and nobody "wins"? My husband is also wondering what type of rum you guys are drinking. :-)
Hi Cattie! Thank you so much for this lovely comment and welcome 😁 you made my day with this comment! Regarding the bowerbirds, I don't know that there's a definitive study on that topic. There are, however, males who just don't meet the female's exacting standards and don't mate with anyone in a particular season. As for the rum, in this episode I believe it was a Colombian rum named Dictador :)
Mata Atlántica special hopefully coming soon 🤞 we definitely have to do one now that Rick Prum called it his favorite place to bird in one of our latest episodes
