    This brings back a sense of nostalgia. Being an Air Force Vet who was fortunate enough to have been selected into the Pipeline program; completing it, and an honor it was to have my MOS as a PJ during my career. Enough cannot be said about the S.E.R.E. program alone, along with the core training principles and tactics you’re taught in the field. The instructors were nothing shy of stellar and deserve the utmost respect for their educational knowledge and perspective in all aspects of training as a PJ, entails. This upload hits home for me personally. And really, makes me miss it quite a bit, reminiscent of passed times. The Pipeline was often brutal and rigorous throughout, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The outcome was immensely worth it 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

      I thrived off training like this. Ranger school train up, Sapper Leader, SFAS. I have fellow soldier/friends still with the teams. I've went (31yo) got hurt but sent many after. I've live and walked among giants. You have to love the way it sucks and that if it doesn't get close to that type of suck, it's nothing to us. I've been the team leader, squad leader, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader and the regular Joe. Now, if I don't want to be found, I will get lost and survive. Nick name as a kid was "Rambo". I remember being cold and wet changing into dry clothing, resting for a bit and as soon as the sun came up, we get hit by enemy indirect fire and had to run 200m through a creek so dry and comfortable was short lived. 👍🏽 Good Times 😁

    E & E (Escape and Evade) in the military taught me alot on how to not be a victim of circumstance and always have a plan B in case something gets caught sideway. Night escapes/evades were always the most dangerous without knowing terrain, what animals were in the bush and what type of people you captors are. It's like a game of chess out thinking your opponent by staying ahead of the game one step at a time. I've been both the aggressor in capturing an opponent and being the one that escapes and evading the enemy. Working in 2 man teams is harder, because someone is going to be difficult and stubborn and not listen to the words of experience. What you guys did here is good and you'll never forget that experience ! You brought back a lot of memories to this veteran. Thanks & Respect !

We used to do man hunts on horseback when I was a teenager (many years ago) & there was lots of undeveloped land around. We were sometimes out for 3 days- one group hunters, one group hunted. You don't hear much about this kind of life lessons these days. Another trip down memory lane. Thank you guys for taking us along. Again!

      @@iremfrat7771 Hi! We were teenagers and made a survival game out of it. Split up as "cops & robbers" or "cowboys and Indians" or what ever two part groups we could conjure up. One group would take off, the other would wait about half an hour & the game was on. We'd raid each other's camps and steal each other's horses.... There was no end to what a bunch of horse loving teens could dream up.
      We once even chased a real bad guy! He got caught bothering a kid in the park restroom & took off on foot across country. We kind of flushed him out of the woods for the Sheriff. Wonderful days and wonderful memories!

    This would be awesome for our group activity at work. Doing home health and hospice we walk into some hinky situations at times. We talk at our morning safety huddles about managing bad situations, but this would give a whole new level of awareness. Some of our nurses are so timid, there have been times when I actually took patients that were questionable, to sort of protect another nurse that wouldn't be able to handle, or be aware of potential danger. This is cool, hope this is something anyone can do.

Make you take off your socks and boots. Thrown them in a pile and you have about 10 seconds to try to grab two boots and socks. Some boots had laces removed. Hopefully you get a left and right or the person you paired up with has the opposite. Still wearing the blindfold put on helicopters. You were teamed up with one other person. Drop off after about 1 hour flight in the jungle. Only things you had between you were a one canteen and a small knife. Told you had to get back to base in 48 hours. I’m a little behind on this channel but this was one of my favorites I pretty much binge on Heavy D Sparks channel trying to catch up fast. I’m a 50-year-old father of five all grown up. And with the grace of God, none of my kids ended up in jail on drugs, so far youngest, one being 20 oldest one being 32. Unlike myself, I struggled a lot when I was young and I just want Dave and his crew to know that I take a lot from his shows, one of the best teachers I’ve ever seen because I do a lot of similar things and I had my kids involved the entire time. I can’t say enough about how much I respect all of you for this particular video. coming from a military family and doing things with my kids differently than my father did I had to learn a lot of stuff that was taught in this video and thank God my kids are doing well, I love your show. I LOVE THIS! So very often “Self-Recovery” is overlooked. As a boss, parent, life partner, leader, you think to only have concerns for those around you, forgetting three major components, putting yourself in their shoes, if you fall, who will lead, and being in the moment always…. Which is hard for me as a wife, mother, and wanting to always please those around me. But I’m a bit twisted, I’m a control freak due to things in my past, but also thrive on barley contained chaos (It’s my severe ADHD lol). So these are lessons I preach to myself daily. I was also a L.A.R.P. For a military defense training company for a few years, so I’ve been in similar live action settings, and love thinking outside of the box. So I got a kick out of seeing these guys going through this, and how they problem solved their way out of it. So awesome and thank you for sharing!

    This gives me hope. After 35 years in LE. my career came to an abrupt end due to some injuries. I got depressed and started giving up. Now i’m thinking I should get myself back in the fight and try something like this in the future. It may help clear out the negative thoughts I have developed feeling like I have failed. Thanks for sharing the experience. Living vicariously through others is still living.

      Really ? You taught SAR'S , and this video reminded you of it ?! Well I did SARS / EE training with my unit in the FRG , and at the 7th Army NCO Academy Bad Toelz taught by some 10th SF guys . Then did RVN training , EE and captive/ hostage training before deploying . Then EE / survival and again captive / hostage after I got I.C. by my 1st unit 25th I.D. This was crap !! I truly hope nobody watches this and " thinks " they have learned anything about EE !!! doc Gubs recon / blue / leg . 68-71

      @@indycharlie wasn't saying it is a perfect situation or perfectly done. You have to take into account the people that have never been around anything like this. I took people off the street never around sar and in a week got them to the point of being able to effectively work as a team and find a patient in the state park with no assistance or guidance. Considering this is 24 hours it's not horrible.

    • @indycharlie
      @indycharlie Před 2 lety

      @@scottfritz6645 OK . I just hope everybody understands . This video has nothing of value , relating to a real EE situation . With drones overhead , that shows it was staged , and ridiculous . Have a good one brother .... Gubs.

  • @sureexposure-digitalbrandi720

    HeavyDSparks, this was a great video for entertainment! Exciting! Love the concept. Equally, the leadership taught through the survival challenge was excellent. It allowed each member to reflect on how hard it is to lead, and also shows the followers how hard it is to be a leader and decision maker. That's a great takeaway! When you load the team on the bus, and place the team in the right seats, the bus will drive itself! Best, Tim
