- Inspired by Popcorn, Mark and Digger decide that they should come up with a way to help them save for retirement, and make a start on a batch of whiskey which they plan to age in an oak barrel for a few years, increasing their profits massively.

@@Noadvantage246 very good question and one I don't have an answer for unfortunately. You do kinda have to know someone if you know what I mean. I would start in the local bars. If you're just looking for a quart or something most people aren't hesitant about talking about that amount.

I deliver wine and spirits for a living, in the exact same areas these guys are in. Their products are in every store. Making it in the woods doesn’t make it illegal. You’re not fooling anyone.

Should a used an appliance dolly. Wider, straps, and has roller, or roller on the back for stairs. Taking it from the truck. Wheels are to small on dirt or gravel though, unless it’s packed as hard as concrete.

There's a difference between swilling liquor and sipping liquor. Sipping liquor is pricey, but on the right occasion, with the right bottle it's definitely worth it.
It's kinda like the difference between blended scotch and real single malt, y'know?

So many things that don’t make sense here.
1- where are they getting the price $300-$400 a quart from? That sounds insanely high.
2-Every year it’s worth more because a % evaporates through the wood and is lost.
3- they’re calling it a retirement fund but after you factor in the % lost and the rate of inflation is the value actually going up or just evening out?? 4- if it is going up how much extra are you actually making compared to if you just sold all the fresh stuff now compared to waiting

Whoever says this is “fake” is only correct in the sense that they may have had to jump through some legal loopholes to get the show produced. Case and point, many people say the principle stars are licensed distillers, but given their facilities and crude methodology, I HIGHLY suspect they did not “start out” as anything short of completely illegitimate/illegal.
It’s also important to take into context the extreme backwoods areas this is taking place in, in many of these counties the laws vary, and the local sheriff’s & their deputies often have a positive relationship with the community and probably “look the other way” in exchange for a little white lightning of their own...
