- A sudden fall in temperature in Texas threatens Mark and Digger's fermentation process for their sweet potato mash. Will their heating tools enable them to warm up their mash or will they have to call it quits on their entire mash making process?

They should just make the Mark and Digger show.. love watching them.
yeah they do really well together dont they. really easy to watch
Literally the only reason I watch
It's called master distiller. Digger mark and Tim
Me too! I agree!
This actually is their show, lol. Their and Jim TOMS distillery is the reason they don’t go to jail actually making likker the few times it has happened.
You gone buy me a sub sammich and a cold beer, “yessir” and three cold beers “yessir” 😂
Love that lol
Yessir 😂
These two make the show 👍
“Hillbilly water heater... we though we was normal, we didn’t know we was hillbillies!” 😂
Like these two. Met them at Gatlinburg moonshine store. Good people
They sure seem like that!
Good people but mad stupid
@@samuelurb2214 how u do understand all these guys aren't doing what it looks like discovery Channel would be in deep shit. They have legal distilleries....
@@ScoobyShotU are you explaining reality TV like America doesn't know? no one thinks its really illegal. I only ever see people like you explaining there's no way its legit like its not common sense. reality shows aren't reality bud, they just pass it off as such.
These two are my favs theyre so cute together ♡ this is the kind of friendship we all need ♡
Nothin better than a hot sammich and 3 cold beers on a cold day!!

I NEED BESTFRIENDS LIKE THESE TWO. MY FAVS ON THE SHOW!

@MrHugeD This show has already been proven fake. So move along now

Man, i would love to try making moonshine in the woods always found it very interesting..
Hope his hip bone is okay
You guys be scared to get caught my uncle be making moonshine right in a open field😂
That’s a genius idea until you get cought . You have a greater chance of getting in trouble from rats than police stumbling on a site
It's not illegal to make moonshine he could've done it in his from yard if he wanted
Edit: If he had a permit which I'm sure isn't hard to get
Evan Duncan but then it’s taxed
@@deepcreekkennels5861 sooooooo it makes a lot more sense to just pay the fucking tax & avoid going to prison
Troll Hidden Cave you will be losing money then they are trying to make more money. To move alcohol from the building they make it in to the aging building is like $300 for every barrel may be more
People don't know about the weather here (I live about 15-20 minutes from there on the worst day) for example this week: wed - 60 and sunny, thurs - 35 and rainy, fri - 65 an sunny, sat - first snow of the year. as my friend put it "our weather is as predictable as a toddlers drawings"
Thats a good saying ima have to steal it for my own vocabulary.
Hearing Colorado we have roughly the same bulshit on weather our saying is "if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes" lol
@@Ithrial420 we have the same one here too

Meet these two in Dawsonville ga at the moonshine fest got a signed poster and signed flask by far great guys my favs on the show
Me on my birthday “you gonna buy me a sub and a beer” “how about 3?”
Or they could have used water tank heater, fish tank heater. Cheap and set it and leave it
My mom family is from Kentucky and my nanna used to get her a snuff of shine in an old medicine bottle...
Man ya'll the best
best at acting on a fake show, you right
Mark an digger are legends they learned from popcorn surron
I live not too far from these 2. Me and my hub love these guys. Maybe we'll head up that way this spring on Vacation and see if we can run into them. They came to my city a year or 2 ago at a liquor store called Muddy Waters but we couldn't make it there that night! I was so disappointed!
can someone explain why they cant just move the moonshine from the plastic barrel to a metal barrel, instead of building that whole contraption
I’m pretty sure it would burn the mash idk lol
It will burn the mash
1. Itll burn the mash
2. When you ferment, you want to do it gradually, they don't want to boil the mash
Shount be sturred too much up in dat mash.
no lol
I find it hard to believe neither of these upstanding gents have a warm enough garage or basement to store those barrels for a couple weeks.....
Content achieved, I guess.
kek No kidding!
I’d just bring the mash to my house. This so much work.
Love you mom
Yes the best ones on their
good video
Love how they argue it’s like some old southern couple
“We just thought we was normal people, we didn’t know we was Hillbillies!” 😂😂😂😂
You could use cooked beans. Use electric blankets and heating pads sealed in pvc pipe.
They’re good people

Any one know wat episode this was
Could have used a 250 watt aquarium heater
What season and episode is this?
What episode is this
Any good shine maker knows what banking your barrels mean.
Please, add captions!
Love you to
Should have just built a small green house around the barrels. Put one heat lamp and you would have been set. Could have used tarps for the greenhouse.
They don't have electricity out there
I probably could have just had a bunch of those things that you shake up and they get warm and then they could have had like a bunch of thermal blankets honestly they wrapped it in enough thermal blankets that would probably be good enough course I don't know I've never made thousands of dollars selling moonshine
I'm pretty sure as long as the plastic barrel is not touching the coals you can light a fire up it with out it melting thru....
It is snaps in Denmark 😉
You can make wiskey even below zero if you bank your mash barrels.
This is in TENNESSEE NOT TEXAS DISCOVERY UK

Ever realized mark and digger is a pun?
👍
Can someone tell me what is the point of the copper coil?
That’s what heats up the mash for fermentation. It’s water circulating through that coil that heats it up.
Or just put tha barrels under a black tarp in tha sun...........lmao
Always amazes me how clean these guys are, considering where they live and what they do. No dirt or stains on their clothes, ever. LMFAO
Dylan Taylor most likely because they're paid actors
It’s called television

@@stephenpope578 uuhhh....what? It is a known fact that this is a fake show and those guys are ACTORS. That is not real moonshine you dipshit lmao
First time I heard them saying "liquor" I heard "laquer"...I found it strange, somehow....
The object that's just above Mark's left shoulder hopefully isn't the same object he's using to stir the liquor at (TS) 2:56. Don't drink it.
I wish mike and daniel would make a strawberry coconut brandy
Or a coconut coffee milk likker
He said digger ok
It should work without a pump too though slower. They could raise it too & let gravity work its magic. If you have a pump might as well use it. It would be more efficient.
It would be better if they just use the garden hose and a siphon and by Saif and I mean just suck on it a little bit to the liquid starts moving it's a lot easier to clean a garden hose or just buy a new one then it is to clean out a water pump
So I can’t go to my back yard and make this?
if only they knew plastic wont melt if theres water in it.
Have you ever made pomegranate liqueur

So where the hell do they get electricity in that abandoned barn?
They're not using electricity they're using propane
@@TrollHiddenCave 5:42 he plugged something into electricity. My guess is a pump to move the hot water in and out of the tube.
Add some cinnamon
Why did they need the pump? If they were clever they could have pumped with physics.

Moonshine country
Fake show...moonshine television
my uncle made that shit on the front porch plenty times & its nothing like it
never been this early
Jesus, if you've got electricity just use a wine heater. They made for this exact purpose.
Real or not
fake
If these boys would have done any time in prison they would know what a stinger is would have done well in this situation.
Well if you had electricity why didn't you drop a horse trough heater in those plastic drums
😂
They havent used amylase, an enzyme that converts the potatoes starch into sugger, how should the yeast convert it ?
Do they have to show you everything they do?
No they dont. Why would you ass u me you know whats going on without asking questions?
Leaving a propane tank lit in a old dry old barn with dry brush everywhere isn't probably the smartest thing they have done lol. Obviously nothing happened but all it takes is an animal to knock it over, a heavy wind to do the same or something messing up with tubing and fire get shot up the line and boom lol js.
These guys seem like cool dudes.... I hope to not hear some BS later.
The dude they sold to watching this: 😐😐😐😐
Any one know how to keep sugar ants out of mash???? Because they like sugar
Yea spray Clorox around your barrels.full strength.
Did you know you can actually boil water in plastic? If a plastic bottle is filled halfway up, the part with water in it will not melt but everything above the water line will. Totally full bottle will boil but the very edge at the top will get burnt a bit. I learned that from Les Strout a looooong time ago. I've done it a few time it actually works.
Your right you can. But the toxins from the plastic seep into the liquid
Surely it melts the bottom no?
Either way it'd take too long because you wouldn't be able to put it on high because the plastic melting point would be reached. Their method would only take couple minutes each day once you've built it
I think it would be cool to get a distilling license but pretend like you're doing it illegally and when you're selling it to people they're like those are some really good labels considering you made this out in the woods and their Moonlight and you're like yeah I know.... 😎👌
What?! 😹
that's exactly what they are doing,,, how do you think there's mark and digger hazelnut rhum and mark and digger apple rye at sugarlands? a tickle one a mark rogers one even a jim tom one a patty one, so yeah they have the license and do the show for the legacy, and not bad i love this show it's the best for me, years i was searching it here in france i just found all seasons i loved it, and i got into making shine 7/8 years ago first time i saw first 4/6 seasons i learned the basics with that and now i make super apple brandy ^^@@GonzoJournalism
You would find out who your friends are. See if anyone tries to turn you in and they get exposed and find out you're really legit. They'd feel like a fool.
sweet potatoes aren't really potatoes... it's not really vodka.
Ther might be a little chicken sh*t dust in ther, but the price is firm.
