The C151A is the 4th generation rolling stock train on both North South Line and East West Line. It is also the first KSF train in Singapore and was first debut on 27 May 2011. With only 210 vehicles (35 trainsets) were ever be built with 2 batches. But what if in the future let's say when the C151A train is 20 years old (2031). Will the KSF C151A train ever be refurbished? Well your about to find out.

As of today, C151A trains are 10-12 years old so they might get refurbished before it retirement.

I think the two step brake system of C151A will be replaced by the one step brake system when it get refurbished.
c151a will most likely never refurbished due to NRFF and 2 step braking, it will fail refurbished if they refurbished and got derail, defective trains cannot be refurbished at all, c151a cannot be refurbished they must get scrapped and replace by Alstom Metropolis R151A with DRMD and motor sound like C751C

Remember when a C151A by the set of 503/504 was still missing in action? It SUCCESSFULLY returned back to train service on 19 October 2023!😄
We hope that it will match the R151 livery scheme.
If it is refurbished then the interior will be the same as the C151C but I don’t know if some of the seats will be replaced by perch seats. Even if they want to refurbish it, they would first have to cancel the retirement plan.
Refurbished c151a might have the R151 liv instead but this is just my thought

c151c exterior with more standing area and R151's pids interior, my favorite:D
What I guess is C151A and C830 may be refurbished together by the same contractor at the same time since both are about the same age now and LTA seems to be heading towards a cost effective solution.

Ok good news, Masterpiece Collectables just announced that next week they will be selling the unrefurbished C151 train model scale 1:120 $45 each. Location of the shop is between Lavender and Bugis MRT stations.

Ok so prior to the unreferbished C151 train model's release, Masterpiece Collectibles just announced that there is a lucky draw and the pirze is a hand grip for 30 winners to win and take home.
Thus train ale in service 12 years ago and hopefully they will refurbished this batch of trains end of the decade.

for now i hate c151a the most, but if it refurbish who knows? one step brake maybe? lta might decide to give it the best livery? or maybe looks like our beloved non ksf or even the motor sounds like them? who knows? might become my most favourite train if refurbish

In my calculations when will C151A be refurbished. C151 1987 to 2006 19 years and C751A 2003 to 2022 also 19 years so means it refurbished at 2030
