I have a high end pc but getting drop frame to like 20fps when running at 500 fps. is that normal considering nothing in background.???? Let me know how to fix that!
If you have your Game User Settings file on "Read Only" it will not save any settings you apply when you restart. You need to have "Read Only" off in order to save game settings like visuals and render resolution and modes.....etc. I hope that helps someone out there wondering why their settings aren't sticking. Hopefully content creators with these vids inform people about that so people who arent techy understand what things do.

Yo ive heard that performance mode on amd is kinda scuffed compared to nvidia. I tried it and im legit getting much more stable and higher fps on dx12 than on performance mode

I have a 3060ti. Dx12 is so much better. Same for others with comparable cards?

Nah, just use 60 at that point, that 3 frames below cap really only applies if your monitor hz is over 75 >

GUYS! use 1600x900 as fortnite resolution its the same as 1920x1080 only your game will look a little bit diffrent but it wil give you a huge fps boost thank me later😉

Hi, i have a question. why does my fps drop from like 150 to 80-70 only when im fighting?
its because all of the rendering that is needed in a gunfight is much higher due to there being more things on your screen,than if you were just in the lobby or loot ect.
That’s likely a CPU bottleneck. Try overclocking your CPU to get an immediate boost for your frame rate under high action.

@@Dwayne.M gsync is a newer feature for rtx users. Its basicaly a lot better than vsync
@@asz.30_55 Gsync is not new and not only for rtx users, its a technology thats gets rid off screen tearing and stuttering. Its a device that sits inside your monitor if its Gsync compatible
Yes, but if you have Vsync set to ON in Nvidia control panel, you’ll get a 158~ frame cap for a 165Hz panel as is, so Nvidia clearly accommodates you if you’re using Gsync + Vsync. It’s best to enable Vsync through the Nvidia control panel, and otherwise have it on in games that also have their own Vsync option (Nvidia control panel options will modify, enhance, or be null according to game engine settings, so you don’t need to worry about stacking Vsync twice)
If I enable Vsync in Metro: Last Light, it wants to limit me to 60FPS and not give me the option for higher refresh.
However, having Vsync enabled in Nvidia control panel and disabled in the game, still has Vsync effectively on at my monitor’s refresh rate, and so I will hit a frame rate ceiling of the aforementioned 158FPS.
I am on a 3080Ti with a 165Hz 1440p Gsync panel. When using competitive settings with Vsync + Gsync + Nvidia Reflex enabled w/ boost (this eliminates the need for a buffer with the Vsync option, to create the condition that every frame is displayed upon generation, which has almost no additional input delay versus no Gsync)
