I am EXTREMELY bad about spam building during end game situations; this single video was very helpful in my understanding of some techniques to practice to become an actual builder. Excited to practice some of these.
i’m not even halfway through the video yet and this guy is superb at explaining. I’ve tried watching other videos and they use complex terms of fortnite which i don’t understand at all. he explains it is simple words, which helps so much. Thanks for helping people like us out there 🔥 💯👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Tip 21 will add a slight delay when picking up weapons. This could result in someone else getting a weapon before you off landing. This is especially important for controller players since Keyboard and Mouse players usually have scroll wheel pick up as well.
Theres no need to use it all the time. On landing youll have no weapons so youd just tap the button and get it anyway. I think Fortnite already handles that situation.

I’ve been playing since the game came out and I’ve been playing competitive for quite a while now but seeing the way Ken beans explained all of this it seems extremely beginner friendly and if I was a new player I would find this pretty damn helpful

For tip number 18, I just press the build mode button again. If you have a weapon out, then bring builds up, if you press the builds button again,, it brings out the weapon again. super useful once you get used to it

21:24 great advice! Extra good for controller players because alot of us might be under the assumption that we should be turning and jumping at the same time if we have paddles. Well you guys know now just because you can jump and look at the same time on paddles or claw doesn't mean you should always do it. Hope that makes sense guys! Thanks ken!

I don't even have to jump, I just run up, at the top of the stair, turn and do it on the other side with the stair pushing me up automatically

You need to find the smallest edge when farming mats. If you are looking at a wall? You go to the edge of it. Length X Width X Height = The size of an object. You are going to look for where it has the least W (Width) and when you hit it, the circle will appear in front of you everytime. Another trick, if you are aiming for the circles and one is far away, hit that circle but close to you. The game will then put the rest of the circles in front of you instead of further away.

20:45 #44 I'm actually proud of myself for developing this good habit. Usually takes bad players off guard because they expect you to spray after you hit a shotgun shot but instead you go for more piece control

29:56 I can confirm!! Personally, a lot of movement definitely discourages me from going for a lazar / snipe. Even missing a single shot in a scenario like that can make or break the difference between life and death

Thanks for the great videos, Ken. I'm a noob and I'm not planning to become a serious player, but I like to do it with my son (he's pretty darn good for 13 y old). My bar is pretty low as I don't plan to spend hours playing games - got business to run... but I'd like to get to the level where I'm at least mediocre. I've purchased Kovaak's aim trainer as that's the first thing I need to fix (I can't consistently land shots even in pretty simple scenarios against average players). Are any Kovaak's playlists or Fortnite islands you'd recommend for absolute beginners? I've played for about a year but it's more of a once-a-week kind of thing, so I consider myself bottom of the food chain, haha. Also, which build/edit routines would you recommend for total noobs? Your video is awesome but I feel like most of the builds are for players who are further along the way.
try to freebuild atleast 30 mins and do edit course and piece control maps

If I were brand new to kovaaks. I would just practice 3 drills for a few weeks. That’s what I do. Eventually after the first week. Ur gonna notice u hit more targets in the drill. Even if u miss every shot the first few days

Actually for the controller reset there’s a faster way. If you get rid of your confirm button and go with edit on release. You would grab a tile and then you do a three button combo and you press it at the same time and and you’ll reset faster

Obviously there’s no scroll wheel on controller but now there’s reset edit on release which is also quite good.
It’s makes it so that when you are editing a build , as soon as you press your reset bind (most likely r3) it instantly resets the wall without then having to confirm your edit
