just a quick math you've got roughly $350 in paint, for less than $100 you could have went to a Tractor Supply and bought a gallon of White and a quart of Blue Tractor paint and created your own custom color that something close to what you got in the spray paint for less than a 1/3 in what you have in spray paint and Tractor paint is 1 stage paint which means the clear in already in the paint so all you have to do it cut and buff it after. You could start out with nothing and buy everything to spray it and cut and buff the paint and still save a hundred bucks or so.
Would just need a paint gun, $1000 air compressor, air hoses, adapters, paint cups, reducer, probably some hardener, $10 can of cleaner for the gun, and then it would still be just a single stage paint job. Spent less than $80 after tax for the rustoleum 🙌
@@blondeezy No you woudn't, I've been doing paint and body for 35 pus years. a $30 paint gun from and a $40 5 gallon compressor would work do paint that truck. also when you buy the tractor paint kit the Reducer and hardner comes with it, you don't need thousands and thousands of dollars to spray paint. Your also obviously too young to understand that 1 stage paint already has the clear coat in it so you don't need to clear coat it and they last longer than those 2 stage paint jobs, you can grab a buffer and a hit the junkyard and make a 1965 fairlane fender look brand new.
@@keithhooper6123 I agree on the used compressor but I'm not a airless sprayer fan, but I'm not a $300 paint gun with all the bells and whistles either, I started out with a $15 Habor Freight paint gun and worked my way up from there. and you also don't need a HUGE Compressor, you can paint a complete car with a 5 gallon compressor, People act like your constantly painting, your not, your not running from front to back and painting an entire car in 1 shot, your painting a panel at a time and then pausing before you start the next panel for 10-15 seconds, the compressor will catch back up by then and your also not painting 3 or more coats all together either, your pausing for 30 minutes for flash time inbetween coats. If your running a full body shop then yeah you a couple 100 gallon but John C. Redneck rebuilding a 75 Duster in his home shop doesn't need anything NEAR that big.
Absolutely gorgeous man. I'm getting a 2002 ford f150 XLT. It's forest green and paints faded in some areas. Thinking on going with a light blue metallic look instead. Watching your video was inspiring. How many hours total did It take you to do This job ?
It's a really unique color in the sea of black, white and gray cars. I don't think I'd be brave enough to trust my lungs to a Harbor Freight mask though or use that many spray cans without gloves :O
Hello this can be done in few days , i need to do some bondoo before painting the issue is i dont have garage but i can cover it with a a blue tarp, i am escare of rust after sanding , i have in the front super super chips damage , like big rocks and i have dents
Hello there what's the difference between this Rustoleum paint and primar high hloss and the Rustoleum enamel one? I see alot if videos with the Rustoleum enamel. I'm thinking one just had primar and they are basically the same 🤷

Buy used compressor,or an airless gun

✨tint✨
Buy a toffee wheel to get the pinstripes off , goes on a drill , takes stickers etc off without taking off paint

Waiting for the wet sand update. From the video point of view, looks like you didn't really need to sand it.
I’ve been obsessed with this color since it came out.
I think my ram would be pretty obnoxious in this color though.
What’s the plan for this rig ?? Lower it ??? I’m subscribed bud

So is it necessary to use primer or no??
How can I order that same clear coat bro? I use Rust-Oleum sometimes myself
Now do a 3/4 drop , blocks in the rear and crank on the torsion keys
GO COUGS!
🍻😎ty

The rustoleum 2x is an acrylic paint I think. Or acrylic mix with enamel.
If you ever sell it lmk
Updates?
Get some hot pink katzkins
Are you left handed or is the camera reversed? 😂
Lol 15 years huh? That’s a long time for paint
Y so close bro
This should be illegal, take this man to jail what an abomination
Se me hace engorroso pintar un auto completo con spray no es mejor el compresor y más costoso en la práctica. :-):-)
This is awesome 🫣🫣
