Well Torres Scored 45 goals overall for Chelsea and won two titles in which HE scored very important goals, he may not have performed at the standard that we liked but the goals that he scored carried a lot of weight, most of which dug Chelsea out of some bad spots and won titles which is what they paid for, a lot of these expensive striker failed to score when it matters at least Torres manages to score went it matter at a very low point of his career, not really a waste of money, Shevchenko was more of a waste than Torres.

Coming in right as the season started, no time to work into the new club, teammates, city and country I would not write off Sigurdsson just yet. Everton as an organization was a mess last season.

Veron wasn't really that much of a waste we got a good chunk of the money back when we sold him to chelsea and we won a premier league with him playing in the majority of the games and he was immense in the champions league that year as well
