May i know what fabric you use for the orange or rust color dress
The haircut looks great! Making things you want to have instead of buying them can be a huge money saver and it's also just really fun!
Unfortunately it doesn’t really save you money, particularly because the cost of clothes has just plummeted over time (you can get Sezane and other expensive knock offs from shein or romwe for like 10 bucks). The time one spends sewing your own clothes easily pumps up the price, particularly if you have a full time job. But making your own clothes is ethical and fun, even if it is costly.
@@IJUSTNEEDASTUPIDUSERNAME I fear you have a point. If nothing else, it helps to fight fast fashion
Soo much fun! And so much more rewarding too 😍
Same with you
i cant believe i spent so much of my weekend being baffled by the pockets on the dress im making only to stumble across this video!! the way you attached the pockets looked so simple! thank you!!
Lovely dresses Janelle, on the floral dress, you could always unpick the side seam a little way and insert a narrow belt to tie at the back if you wanted to make it a bit smaller, x x
That’s a great idea! 😄
Both dresses are beautiful. I’m totally mesmerized watching you sew and “eyeballing” hems, etc. You’re hair cut is lovely as are you. Hello from Tennessee
Aw thank you so much lovely! 😊
Wow you make the cut and see simple and doable thanks 🌷
That McCall’s pattern is absolutely perfect! I’ve been looking for a dress like that in the shops so I can wear it on Christmas Day but now I think I’ll just make it! You’re such an inspiration whenever I lose motivation for my projects, can’t tell you how much I appreciate what you do 💖
Aw thanks so much lovely! That really means a lot 🧡
Both dresses are beautiful.
Always enjoy watching you sew...beautiful and talented. ..remain blessed xxx
So happy you always share the cm and inches measurements! Thank you for beeing such an Inspiration 🌷🌞 Best wishes from Germany 🙋♀️
You explained everything very clearly (not everyone achieves that). Good teacher!
Everything looks so great!! You have been such a huge inspiration and your videos and patterns have really helped me mentally get through this latest surge of covid in my state. I’m an essential worker and I’ve been working pretty long hours but your projects are so easy and satisfying to complete!! Thank you so much for your wonderful brand and for being so inspiring!!
You’re so welcome! Thank you so much for watching my videos 💕
The polkadot dress is perfect for you. You are very pretty with it.
This sunday I start the willow pattern. Wish me luck 😜😶
Ooh how exciting! Thank you so much for making it! 💕
That dress is so beautiful,lm sketching it out for future purposes when l will learn to sew and create it too
Amazing once again Janelle, you make it look so easy. They look great on you but so would a potato sack. I look forward to Sunday mornings to see your creations 😀
Haha you’re way too kind! I’m glad you enjoy my videos, thanks so much for watching! 🧡
Your designs are so pretty and fresh 🌸
It’s only a ripoff if she was claiming them to be her own. It’s called a diy version for a reason. Your negative attitude towards someone sharing their talents and or version of how to make something is surprising to me. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week 🙏🏼.
Lovely dresses. You did an excellent job on both dresses. I have the McCalls pattern so I will definitely be making that in the summer. I would also like to try my hand at shirring. You made it look so easy. Thanks! 🌺💝
Wow Janelle, both dresses look gorgeous on you, and you make the sewing process to achieve both looks appear so simple to follow! 😍 I also love the nice replies you give to everyone, and the helpful links you add. Warm love x
Thank you so much 🧡
Both dresses turned out so beautiful! I really love watching this series of where you make clothes from your instagram feed instead of buying them; it inspires me to make clothes that I see floating around the internet that I really like, but I hold off on buying because the price and shipping time. Also, I just finished making the Willow dress! It turned out so nice on me, and I especially love how it covered my slightly busty bust without needing additional buttons or additional alterations. Can't wait to make more wrap dresses!!
Thank you! And I’m so pleased to hear you loved the Willow! Xx
Wonderful! I love the shirred best I think.
It’s definitely one of my all time favourite dresses 😍
Love all your projects.
So impressed!! Loved your clothes making videos, scrap buster videos, and Instagram makes. This is amazing. I wish you so much luck. Seeing all the love a dedication to your dream inspires me.
The haircut suits you so damn well! I love the dresses, you're really great and absolutely inspire me to sew more! One of the loveliest channels I know.
Aw thank you! That really means a lot 😊
WOOOW I LOVE THIS
I WILL BE MAKING MY OWN!
I also live in the best state Tassie. Good luck with everything and keep safe and well.
They're both beautiful - I love the button through dress so much! But the sleeves on the linen number are awesome fun too! I hope you're getting some creative time today Janelle. :) x
Thank you lovely! Loved using your beautiful fabric as usual 😍
Love the first dress
And that second dress could be hacked into a lovely jumpsuit 🙌 Great video 😊
Omg that first dress is amazing!!!!! I feel so inspired to make one myself!

Oh wow you made it look like a breeze! You’re wonderfully talented and so inspiring!
Both turned out super cute!
LOVE your designs and all the lovely fabric you use! I'd love to make dresses like yours soon!
That first dress is so cute!!
I love that McCall’s pattern! I’d wear that forever!
It’s such a pretty dress! 😍
Thanks! Firstly, pockets! Yess!! Something I've recently learned - understitiching the pocket seam! Makes the pocket sit really nicely in the dress/skirt. You can find that in on Evelyn Wood's youtube channel, if you haven't made one. (I couldn't see it) Secondly, I've just recently learned how to use the overlocker I was gifted-changes everything! Thanks to your shirring info, I'm going to try that soon... I would like to ask- when you mention doubling the bust measurement x the length measurement, is this to give you the amount of fabric you need?? For which bit exactly? Sorry if I'm being blank, but I was confused...(I was doing accounts at the time so I'll blame multitasking!!) Anyway, great video! Thanks! (And for anyone who puts heavy stuff in their pockets, I've also started making them higher & cutting them with a piece to stitch into the waist, to give more strength. Not sure if I got that from you, or somewhere else, but great idea!! :)
Hii
You are my inspiration ,you always motivates me to sew,I feel with energy when i watch your videos ,
I have exams when I'm done I'm going to make some dresses ❤

Sewing is a superpower no one can tell me otherwise
Congrats on 150k subscribers! I'm in the northern hemisphere and this video has made me miss all my summer dresses lol
Thank you! 😘
So cute!
Now we want the polka dot dress tutorial!! 😂
Both dresses are super, thanks for the inspiration ,as usual!! ❤️❤️
I actually shared how I made it in this video if you’d like to see! czcams.com/video/z4h8J0Lk3p8/video.html
@@RoseryApparel ohhh! I missed it! Thanks!!!
The orange fabric was spot on!
Seriously couldn’t have been a closer match 😍
Wow these are amazing!! So inspired to make a dress now. These are just beautiful!
Some friendly feedback: I couldn’t really work out how you stitched the linen sleeves onto the dress? The visual wasn’t great or the explanation here. These little details matter when describing to us what you’re doing.
Xxx
Thank you! Definitely check out the main tutorial (linked in description) I show everything in more detail in that video 😊
Thank you for the inches.
THE TALENTT OMFG
- honeypot films
I love both dresses and you look great in both of them. Julie St Helens Tas.❤️
Who put that dislike?😡
You are amazing darling!! An inspiration, grettings from México 🇲🇽❤️
Aw thank you lovely! 💕
lovely video - I want to get back to sewing again due to your inspiration. Would you mind sharing what exactly you use to finish your fabric edges (to keep from fraying) as I would like to purchase something similar. thanks!
It’s an overlocker/serger! They are amazing and give your garments a really professional finish. I use the Singer 14sh644 😊
Thanks for a great video, hey i have the same brother machine as you...can i ask, why is it that you dont use the automatic buttonhole maker foot? Its life changing 😂
I find it can be pretty hit and miss with the rayon fabrics, so like to do them manually and get it right the first time 😊
@@RoseryApparel i never even thought of that, yes it would be so much harder with a slippery fabric, I often only use a cotton fabric, ill remember this tip 👍
Mam how can you make upper part of dress with elastic
What size did you do with the McCall’s 7920? You said you should have done one size smaller. I’m the same size as you so curious what size you cut? Thanks!!
너무예쁜옷이 탄생되었네요 ㅎㅎ 솜씨가 너무 좋아요 ㅎㅎ 구독♡좋아요 하고 갑니다 자주 놀러놀게요😊
I really want to attempt to make the puffy dress! 💕 How many meters did you need for the project?
I used about 2.5 metres for mine 😊
I want to make the first dress but with a close neck, can you teach us?
What's the best way to wash a shirred dress?
I only hand wash mine 😊
From where do you buy these fabric clothes ? Plzz reply me
What kind of fabric did you used?
What serger do you use?
Hi! I was thinking of buying a Singer Confidenve 7640 sewing machine, is it worth the money? Great video btw, I love your creativity! 😍
I have a viking emerald 116, for a simple machine, it's an absolute powerhouse. It has pretty basic stitches, but hooolllyy moly that thing goes forever. I've made about 1700 masks on it since April without a hiccup (well, a few, but fixed in 5 mins and were also caused by me).
I've had it for four years and have made quilts, lingere, clothing, etc.
It does lack special features like decorative stitches, sewing leather, freeform sewing, but it's quiet for a sewing machine and is easy to learn on, use, and clean.
@@skengels Oh, Thank You! I'll definitely do some research about that, maybe I'll like it ❤
Hey is your digital pattern include the size??
I saw audrey rivet and i clicked 👀
May i know what fabric u used thanks
It’s linen fabric by A and R fabrics 😊
@@RoseryApparel thank you!
How can someone practice shirring before using it on a project that I plan to make for myself? I've never done the technique and I am nervous to do it on my actual project.
Did you take a look at the tutorial i mentioned in the video? It’s called ‘diy puffy dress’ and there’s are link to it in the description. I share all about how to set up your machine and how to practice shirring before starting on your garment in that video 😊
@@RoseryApparel I will look into that video. Thank you.
What type of fabric
They are linked in the description
second!
You were sewing over the pins 😦
You look like Saoirse Ronan
love the dresses and all but the music is so annoying just leave it out please
