From a diehard Cincy Bearcats fan for the past 21 years… hats off to you, Miami 🥂 it’s strange, but there was an odd sense of satisfaction that hit me when they pulled off the upset. They’ve been so close many times over the past 7 or 8 years, and seeing it finally happen… was bittersweet (somehow, I don’t get it either 😂). Well done, Miami. Congrats on the huge win. Enjoy that trophy for the next year 😎

Funny that ESPN has Cincinnati’s record as 2-0-1 when the lost in overtime to Miami, who’s record according to ESPN is 1-1-1. There are no ties in FBS football as far as I know.

Great to see the Victory Bell finally change hands again, giving this great rivalry some new energy after Cincinnati won the last 16 editions in a row. Believe it or not, even with the recent one-sidedness, this series is all tied up all time at 60-60-7. Miami had their own dominant run between 1960 to 1985, winning 20 out of 26 in that span.

Best game of the day was Mizzou beating K-State on a last second 61 yard field goal. FYI, not a fan of either team, just a helluva game.

Miami University of Ohio was founded in 1809. The City of Miami Florida wasn’t founded until 1896, and the University of Miami Florida wasn’t founded until 1925. Miami OH vs. Cincinnati is, I believe, the longest running football rivalry among current FBS schools.
