We vacationed in Mexico Beach about 9 years ago before hurricane Michael. It was so nice, not a lot of people, you could really enjoy the beautiful beach. MB is a quaint small town, it's perfect if you don't care for crowds.
We found one place that looked like a standard restaurant. Everything else pretty much looks like a shed they had delivered from lowes with picnic tables outside. That said, a hurricane wiped that place out a few years back so they are still rebuilding
Someone told us to go to this beach but the water doesn’t look blue like I thought. You know like Destin. Is that just not a good day? I know it can vary.
The blue color is the reflection of the sky and has no bearing on water quality. I'm a lifelong Floridian and have never seen someone care about water color like this. Weird.
@@mssmiles0503 it’s not weird. I don’t want to fly to the Caribbean to see blue water. But I know Florida has blue water in places and I want to see it. It’s a bucket list thing. The ocean in my state is mostly murky green and not beautiful. What’s so hard to understand about that ???
Full time resident here, and the water varies with the sky-as it does in Destin/PCB. Mexico Beach is not a party place, virtually no restaurants, as of this posting, but we do have three hotels now open. If you like easy going family friendly places, especially if you have kids, then this is the place.
@@mssmiles0503 Lordy what a time you picked to move here. We are a rudderless ship right now. Six months ago we were in the fast lane but when Doug left our community completely stopped. It’ll get better and you’ll love living here.

It's a OK beach. Less crowded than the ones to the west. Not lots of choices for restaurants.
