- The small coastal town of Mexico Beach, located 20 miles east of Panama City, is a serene and undiscovered destination. This little slice of paradise offers a small-town feel with all the Old Florida charm. The preserved, pristine, and unspoiled natural beauty of this community makes it Florida’s Panhandle best kept secret; so kick back, relax, and enjoy this perfect setting with your family and friends. Just at the edge of Mexico Beach, as you enter into Gulf County, you can take a stroll for miles with your four-legged friend and you can end your day with a bonfire on the beach. Come enjoy Old Florida with us!
aug 14th,2018-less than a month later this area is devastated.breaks my heart
Great video~ Side note, bonfires are not allowed in MB. That section of video (1:40-1:47) was not in Mexico Beach. Just want to make sure all our Mexico Beach, FL lovers know that :) Thanks~ Kimberly
Thank you so much for your feedback, in our video description we have the comments: "Just at the edge of Mexico Beach, as you enter into Gulf County, you can take a stroll for miles with your four-legged friend and you can end your day with a bonfire on the beach. Come enjoy Old Florida with us!"
And now it's all gone.
Actually, I was the very first to say this. An hour before the hurricane even made landfall is when I posted this. I could see the track of the storm was going to bring the eastern side of the eyewall right through MB. I also know that you add the forward speed of the storm, which was 15 mph, to the maximum sustained winds at the eyewall, which were 155 mph, and you get a net wind speed of 170 mph. MB was hit with the equivalent of a Cat 5 storm. So I knew even before it struck what the result would be.
Btw, your welcome.
Great video of Mexico Beach, though! @Live the Beach life #wewillrebuild
