Hi I’m dealing with a situation with a DUAL 1009. It will turn on raise arm put it on the start location but then it picks it back up moves arm back to the resting spot and then turn off but instantly turn back on. After the first cycle it picks up the arm but won’t move it over and then drops it back down on the resting spot. And it won’t ever end that cycle. Any ideas?

Exorcism by a priest :) Honestly, Dual turntables are so finicky that it could literally be anything. I'd check out some posts on Vinylengine or Hifiengine that discuss repairs for similar symptoms.

Hello! I recently bought this player. Automation works fine, but the right channel is completely silent. The external amplifier is checked, it's not in it. Can you suggest what could be the problem? Sincerely.

RCA cables, connectors, dirty contacts, tonearm wires, headshell wires, bad cartridge...lots of possibilities.

@@millervintagehifi3034 Hello! Thank you very much for your advice! The problem turned out to be the oxidized contacts of the headshell. The sound of music from this player is just super! I have found one more problem. The needle in the raised state above the edge of the record is at a very low level, and if it is moved closer to the center of the disk, then it generally lies on the record. Please tell me what and how should I adjust so that the needle can be safely moved over the plate and so that it does not touch the surface? Sincerely

Is there a switch from 220 to 110 volts?

They are great turntables but very complex, those Steuerpimpel are a pain. definitely not sh** , but need a dual specialist.

Yeah, in the heat of battle I tend to get a little chippy toward Dual turntables. Just not my 'thing'. Most that I see are in such bad shape that they are nightmares to sort out. Unfortunately most folks don't want to pony up the $$ to send them over to Des Moines and the fine folks at FixMyDual to have them completely restored.
