    swaddling has been a godsend for us lol. if not for it we'd be waking up literally every hour. though now we have to set a timer to feed the baby every 3 hours overnight, but it's worked out better for us. Baby is still just over 1 week old

      haha? ours are 1 month old and we do wake up every hour because they have different schedule. But swaddling is a miracle

    What kind of Muslim swaddle works in winter?
    Also I’m 32 and I sleep better when I tuck myself in hahaha and when my husband can’t sleep, I tuck him in the blankets and he falls asleep right away so I can understand why babies will find this soothing ❤

    • @littlezsleep
      @littlezsleep  Před rokem

      Hey there, Heidy! Muslin swaddles are amazing for newborns because the material is so breathable and is perfect for both summer and winter! If you are worried about your little one being a little colder in the winter, you could dress them in a long sleeve onesie with socks underneath their muslin swaddle.

      Yes, it's true that some little one's can sleep without a swaddle! If your little one is between the ages of 0-15 weeks and is struggling to fall asleep and stay asleep, we recommend using a swaddle to help calm and settle them!

    • @littlezsleep
      @littlezsleep  Před rokem

      Hey, Ton! Yes this is great! We recommend swaddling from birth until 12 weeks of age. After 12 weeks, we want your little one sleeping with their arms out so they can begin to use their hands and arms for rolling and self-soothing purposes!

  • @SandyandKyle

    My 18 week old still startles often, so much that he wakes up and cries. The only thing helping is being swaddled, but I know he doesn’t want to be in it anymore. I’m hoping I can start sleep training soon, do you have any tips for me?

    • @littlezsleep
      @littlezsleep  Před 2 lety

      Hi Sandy! If you want to start sleep training, you can with my Baby E-Coaching! Getting out of the swaddle just takes practice as baby learns to move around and control his body! You can start by alternating one arm out at a time!

    Is there an ideal time between 8 and 12 weeks? My baby is almost 9 weeks and she was born a week late. She busts out of her swaddle at every single nap, then I reswaddle and she falls asleep. Should I be starting to get her transitioned out or wait a couple weeks?

    • @littlezsleep
      @littlezsleep  Před rokem +1

      Hey Christianna! You can start to transition her out of the swaddle now! At this age she is just learned the difference between day and night, so bedtime is likely in the 7-8:30 range.

    • @littlezsleep

      Yes! We have a team member who loves to swaddle her little ones in the classic muslin swaddles! We recommend following Harvey Karp's swaddling instructions so that it's secure and snug and doesn't ride up over their face when they wiggle around at night.
