@Mano Donekal cows produce more milk than its calf can drink. Infact, we should take milk from cows and still plenty for the calf to drink is left. If we don't take milk, cows milk gland will get tumors. Some animals produce more milk than its calf can drink.

@Mano Donekal Calm down sir, if you really want some sense to it first if you are a vegan thats totally fine by urself but if you need some sense first understand that nobody's stealing anything from her. A mother or any mother is fine to fill her children's stomach and she is not willing to runaway or fear in that process but when killing is done to her she or any other creature would fear nd thats cruel obviously. And in our culture we give her importance nd try to provide her food nd shelter where she can live well. I dont know why are you convinced like that.

In western world and most other places cows are slaughtered including dairy cows in fact if a male is born to a cow it is mostly slaughtered immediately, that is why there is vegan movement to stop this. But India is no exception in cruel treatment of the cows, watch the documentary Dominion and you will know what I am talking about.

I respect the cow very much from my childhood. A cow is a simple animal, it doesnot violence anyone. The cow gives milk to us and is associated with the faith of hiduism. I feed bread to the cow even today, it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction. I am proud that i was born in a religion in which cow is considered a sacred animal.

Cows are not supposed to eat bread or any other processed food. It's harmful to them. Give them fruit or any leafy greens that you have at home, instead of bread. :)

I'm 21 now and have been a vegetarian for 21 years. I used to get funny looks or even get teased for not wanting to eat the corpses of living creatures. Luckily nowadays people are not as bad as they were back then and vegetarianism and veganism is growing. My family are not devotees but my uncle became a vegetarian partly by being inspired by srila prabhupada (Sadly he has since passed away, but I still have his set of Srimad Bhagavatam and his copy of Bhagavad-Gita As it is).
He then "converted" his sister, my mom, to vegetarianism. So if I think about it, the reason I've never eaten meat is because of srila prabhupada's mission to the west. So thank you.
