Did the Samsung SmartTag Plus surprise you against the Apple Airtags? Or are you sticking with tile?
I own a SmartTag and I love it, it edges the competitors in terms of functionality. Unfortunately, I have neither smart things in my house nor phone with UWB.
I'm trying to understand why you turned off mobile data on the Samsung but on the iPhone you left it on and only turned off wifi. That's not the same comparison.
Look again. Mobile Data was already off. I was just turning off WiFi too. The mobile data is green when you turn it on.
@@dannywinget Except you forgot with iPhone the wifi does not go off completely when you turn it off from control center
@@dannywinget I think you've forgotten that on iOS, Control Centre doesn't disable either WiFi or Bluetooth, it just disconnects from any currently connected devices or networks. Apple even lists this as how it works in their support documentation: support.apple.com/en-us/HT208086
Apple and Samsung should negotiate an MOU allowing cross compatibility for a massive network.
I wish. Apple is totally reluctant when it comes to collaboration because their entire motive is to trap you in their ecosystem. Case in point: iMessage. Google has been trying to collaborate with Apple with RCS but they have adamantly refused.

@@abenaitwebruce9495 Yes but precision finding will only work in close proximity and only with iPhone 11 and 12. older Iphone won't be able to do that because they don't have the UWB chip.

dont Forget, for a working samsung smart tag; you need a samsung account. Buy samsung don't oblige it on their phones. You can use every samsung smartphone without a account. So apple is this obligate. What we can conclude in more users they can find the tag.

Airtags are great, I bought it for my mom last week the 4-pack one, and it's good! But I'll soon buy the SmartTag + and as I'm in the Samsung ecosystem, I should be running it at it's max!

As long as you never need to use it in a place without cell coverage, which is a lot for me looking for where I put my wallet or keys on my boat away from a city.

It’s always Samsung making the best digital tunes while locating your lost stuff. Their products literally *sing* to you. My family uses a recent model of Samsung’s washer and dryer sets. Once the cycle finishes, the “alarm” will make you groove, and it goes on for a minute. Even selecting a wash cycle will make an escalating and happy chime.
It never gets old, and motivates me to do more laundry.
Samsung without a doubt is the best in functionality.

the thing you all misunderstood is that he doesn't turn off the bluetooth neither the WiFi😊 on the iPhone. To do that, he must go to settings😌 Not in control panels. Amazing and instructif video as always😊😍😍

Your air tag was connect to your phone. The circle of dots was it having a Bluetooth connection to the tag. When it got to the arrow was the UWB kicking in to show you precision tracking

Honestly, the Smart Tag + is just way better at $40.... Although, the price of an Air Tag is $30, the accessories you need are around $11-15 (third party) or $25-35 (Apple) and the overall price becomes $40-65.... The Smart Tag + also has a louder speaker, better range, AR capability, Smart Home functionalities, finding your phone, lower battery consumption per capita... The only advantage of the Air Tag is the water resistant rating the fact that you can track without Wi-Fi or Mobile Data.... The better choice is obviously the Samsung Smart Tag + here...

The comparison of Bluetooth and WiFi off or on between the iPhone and the Samsung is kind of unfair, because the iPhones WiFi and Bluetooth were never off, the greyed out icons only mean it won't connect to new networks and stuff, but not that they're turned off

The mobile data was never turned off on the iPhone, just Bluetooth and WiFi were disabled.
Yeah, I thought it was interesting that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were disabled on the iPhone but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were not disabled on the Samsung (instead mobile data was disabled). Not exactly a comparison.

Is it correct that on the Samsung Tag for a user to contribute to finding it, they have to have a Samsung account and have find my phone turned on?
8:30 The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in iPhone isn't off there. In iOS you can't turn off Wi-Fi and bluetooth from quicksettings you have to turn it off from the settings.

Question, I just bought a 4 pk of the Tile trackers and I'm not sure I'm understanding it correctly. I bought them for a cruise we r taking to put in our luggage. Will I have to have the premium service to be able to track the tile if it's more than 300 ft away from me? Another video I watched stated the tile was only for close tracking, true/false?? Thx for the help .
I love how loud the Samsung one is. I bought my mom the Airtag since she loves Apple, and precision find isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
Samsung's is easily the best : super loud, and that AR view is so convenient !

It connects to mobile phones that are connected to the internet and he tries to say that u can't find the tag if your phone is offline. But he just stupid, cause the same thing applies to Apple too, he just doesn't understand how iPhones work, but considers himself a fan🤣
To be honest I enjoyed the video. But I'm having a hard time deciding. All I need is GPS with precision since I want to put it in my scooter. A lot of em are being stolen everyday and yesterday it so happened to be my friend's. I use it to work Uber eats and I don't want to go through what he is going through right now. I have the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra so I'm open to read any opinions.
I bought the smart tag....my only issue is I can't use the AR camera function...do you know why this is?
A tag without a direct fixing hole is already a fail.
Having to buy these hangers makes them very expensive, even the cheap ones, not too mention the bulk that come with it.

You are the only one at this time who is covering the smart tag plus. The dual phone setup outside was a good comparison how accurate each tag responded. Would love to see an only airtag vs smart tag plus with more precision tracking outside and in your house.

The WiFi and Bluetooth are not turned off when you do it from the control center menu! That's why it's still working.
Turn them off from settings and it won't work ;)

Does the Galaxy SmartTag phone automatically look for the bluetooth smarttag or do they have to sign up to smarttag before that option starts? Im just thinking people will prob never use smart tags so they would prob never go on the app unless its default in the phone?

I’m still mad I bought the airtag and forgot I don’t have a way to put it on my keys, so it’s already the worst out the gate but if you got a iPhone it’s better than my tile trackers for sure, can’t say anything about the smart tag tho

I have the Samsung SmartTag+ wit an S20 Ultra 5G but it doesent show the "find with camera" option. Does anybody know why this option isn't there?

On the Iphone you didnt really turn off Bluetooth . you have to go to settings and then turn off bluetooth.
The tap NFC feature for some reason does not work. I tapped my air tag to my Galaxy S21 and it would not detect it.
Was it in lost mode? That’s when it works.

And also to mention that samsung gave me the buds pro with a samsung smart tag for free when I pre-ordered the s21 ultra,and they also added a $80 voucher, either to buy another smart tag or a case. Just a little present to enjoy she s21 ultra at the max,something apple simple can't match

You don't charge it. It uses a replaceable button battery that lasts 5 months.

I have both an IPhone and Galaxy S24 Ultra, I am familiar with both Airtatags and Samsung SmartTag 2. Both devices work great and I would say they are neck to neck because they both rely on other IPhones and Galaxy phones to locate your missing items since they don’t have built in GPS. The only reason why I will say the Samsung get the edge is because of the button and when it is pressed you can turn off your tv and smart lights in your home, but also keep in mind there are more people in the public that have more iPhones so you should have more reliability when it come to finding your missing items with the AirTag. I am not familiar with Tile

Howdy Sir. I am sure someone else has already mentioned this, but when you compared the functionality of the air tag and smart tag, you turned the mobile data off on the Samsung, but not on the Apple. Not an accurate comparison.
Can someone tell me if this works with baggage on airlines or just simple things that are closer to you?
I hope so as thats what I got the smart tag for, to use with an S10+. Prob wont work on the plane in the hold as needs someone close by with a galaxy mobile, but should hopefully be useful in finding lost cases! Going to try some testing soon before next flight!!
Its worth noting that the TagPlus only works with the newest Samsung phones with a UW chip. Which is literally only the Galaxy 21 phones
Pretty sure the Note phone the year before that had it. On the iPhone, UW chip is only on the iPhone 11 or newer as well.

Only on samsung devices.
The SmartThings app (which controls the Smart Tag) works on all Android (or even iOS) phones, but I don't know how it behaves with a Smart Tag.
