    Please note: I did let the VTX cool down for at least 5 minutes between each test.
    The pigtail that I used is the same one that was tested with the TBS UnifyPro32 HV VTX and I highly doubt that it's faulty.

      I see that you're using a 10dB attenuator. Correct? The power you wrote also corresponds to the power your Immersion RC power meter reads. I don't have the ImmersionRC power meter but I do have access to a proper spectrum analyzer. Does the ImmersionRC power meter account for the attenuator you put it? Like, can you setup it up so that it adds XXXdB attenuation to whatever attenuator you installed and whatever the power meter reads? I tried my AKK ultimate fx2 in our lab. But, it was a rather quick test. Like 2-5mins quick... I will do proper measurements in the future but I notice that AKK's have a wide bandwidth. If you actually measure the integrated power over a certain bandwidth like say 10MHz or more, it's outputs shit loads of power!       Yes, you can adjust the attenuator value on the ImmersionRC power meter. Thanks for your test and input - I will run a couple of more test and in case I will get results the differ significantly from my previous findings - I will share it with you.

    I've done the same test on my vtx and the quality of the pig tails makes a huge difference.

      @MAD GRUMPYMANI don't know why they use bad pigtails but some do. That little RF meter is a great device to diagnose those type of problems. Including sometime the antenna shorting to the frame. Have had that happen a couple times too.

    Gal you gotta test different pigtails, they are known to cause low output, bardwell found this out testing tbs unifys ..try rg316

      @@MyJam1981 well you could use a long mmcx antenna to reach vtx but mmcx antennas are skinny and dont hold shape well, then sma helps with mounting securely then allows the antenna to get out away from carbon and provides strain relief in crashes

    Thank you very much for your excellent tutorials. Im not expert, I decided to start with the AKK 1600. For you which ones better, AKK 1600 or Dominator 2000?...Please, continue to do tutorials without blah blah, also with omni and directional antennas, your tutorials are 100% much better!       Thank you very much. I think that the Dominator is better than the 1600 as it has a better LC filter and it's more powerful.

    Have you tried to measure the power without the added attenuator ? Excluding the higher output level ?

    The power level never even went close to 1 watt but yet it’s rated for 2watts 🤔?!?! Akk has always been crappy vtx to me I’m still waiting on the TBS unify pro32 hv vtx test! Bought one for myself but it’s still in the package. Let’s see the results for the long range test.

    If you don’t mind answering what channel do you usually run on your vtx, it’s so many idk witch one to choose, and i really want the closet i can get to the best signal.

      Sure - normally I use 5740 (F1). The optimal frequency depnds on the antennas that you're using.

      About 10W, so quite toasty, hence the large heatsinks, need plenty of airflow.

    I think this video is just for entertainment. A friend of mine and i did a 2.5km flight only with 2 omnis, the diversity switched just after 2km to the helix and we endet up with 10km range on 600mw EWRF vtx with perfect video. On a AKK ulti with 1200mw could we go over 3km with great video on omnis, so what you did on 25mw was ok, depending on your rx setup but on 2w you have to test it at least over 20km range. I would guess 2w are good for about 4km omni antenna reception or bando penetration, over all just a overkill vtx for quads or rigs under 20km effective range
    And is your RF meter defective or the vtx weird? 800mw should be something about 30dbi, the readings shows less measurments in mw and dbi as expected
