    Last year a DJI engineer said the full sized Air units can go up to 3500mW but they overheat if the ambient temp is too warm so they settled on 1200mW as max naco.txt unlockable. I hope once someone cracks the firmware there's a power mod in the future. 😄

    Hi, I also have an Akk Ultra Long Range VTX and I had, until today, the problem of noise on the video. I also installed the LC filter without obtaining positive results. Today it came to my mind that I could feed the CAM directly from the VTX, so I detached the power of the CAM from the Matek and I took the power from the OUT of the VTX. The noise magically disappeared!

    I was thinking of using this vtx on my rc car for fpv. One question I have is if im just using a fpv camera (only video no audio from camera) will the vtx transmit audio to my goggles if nothing is pluged in to the smart audio wire? I saw there is smart audio wire but I dont know anything about that or if its the same as a normal audio wire out of a vtx. Or in other words is there built in audo on this vtx that transmits to goggles? Thanks this would be very helpful to know im new to fpv.😁 Or maybe I need a seperate mic that pluggs into the smart audio wire but idk im new to this. ALL INFO HELPS!!☺️😁🙂😀

    Big question here you have to ask, is that horrific noise on the feed created internally by the VTX itself?....Filter the vtx power using a decent LC filter, although you will need a high capacity one. I wouldn't buy it based on the noise alone...So, this warrants another trial I would suggest at least.

    • @vickalanis9117
      @vickalanis9117 Před 3 lety +2

      It is possible and likely that the noise is coming from the esc. This could easily be solved with a cap or a small LC filter from the board to vtx. That actual break up static at range is what I’m looking for.

    • @EnglishTurbines
      @EnglishTurbines Před 3 lety +1

      @@vickalanis9117 Of course the ESC is an obvious source of noise...but for example, some vtxs also provide a stepped down 5v supply for your camera. These can also inject noise into your camera..Most, if not all my vtxs have LC filters filtering DC supply to them...Then again, I use 1.2g long range video, so static breakup is a rarity for me..
      It's noticeable that the noise level went up as more RF power was selected...🤔😳🇬🇧

      @EnglishTurbines Před 3 lety

      @@vickalanis9117 If you power your VTX or camera from your FC ( I do the same) then I also protect the FC from ESC noise by filtering vbatt using an LC Filter...Noise on your FC has potentially worse consequences..You can see some ultra clean live video feed on my channel..For the same reason, I never use onboard amp counters on the FC either...Vbatt tells its own story, don't need amp counters...

    hello congratulations for your video, I noticed that you have diagonal lines a bit annoying. and I bought two because I thought the first akk 3000 mw was defective, I mounted a 5A 5 / 36v filter on the power supply and the problem remained. I also mounted the same filter on the cam power supply and the problem remained. I powered the cam directly from the VTX AND UL PROBLEM I solved it but the OSD indications are no longer seen on the glasses, the vtx will also run 10 km but the video is bad. it costs little and is worth less.

      3000mW (3W) should be able to go a lot further than 3km. I can go out on 1W (1000mW) to 4km no problem, probably go further. With a quad, battery will run low long before you use all 3000mW especially if you use a ground station. Now the penetration may be huge through trees and maybe even concrete, not sure.

    Hey buddy. How do I know what power level I'm at?

    • @KremerFPV
      @KremerFPV  Před rokem

      Hi, did you check the user manual?
      There should be LEDs on the VTX that indicate the power level.
      If you can't find it I will try to help you out.

    Does increasing the power of VTX affects the flight time?

    • @KremerFPV
      @KremerFPV  Před 3 lety +1

      It will affect the power consumption but on a big battery it won't have a very big affect.
