Mr Croc, my fave....like the little fly out testing....You need a micro LC filter in your DC supply to the VTX...So cheap, it's a crime not to....The noise on the feed spoilt it TBH.
I agree that an LC filter is needed and forgot to mention it in the video. I am using the same setup when testing VTXs so I would rather not use an LC filter in order to make the video comparable with other VTXs that I test.
Fantastic review, Gal! Pretty impressive VTX! 😮 I need something like that to use on rc cars! But I want a 20x20 to mount with the RunCam Split 4 in a piece of plywood. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
thnaks for your educational videos - im just getting into this stuff so i dont know a lot yet but I ordered a TBS crossfire and was thinking of doing 1.3 vtx
My pleasure. I had a hard time getting the CRSF and 1.3ghz Video systems to work well together. I am still trying to figure it out and hopefully will be able to test it again in the near future.
Looking good seems have the similar video transmit quality of TBS unify pro32. But i'm more interesting with your gps module, you have stabil satellites. What gps module that you use and how you mounting it on your croc. 7" ?
Hi Gal... So great like ever! Excelente air cooled vtx... A question.. In yor re - setup of this new vtx you used the ugly antena of stock or you changed to omni antenna... Wich one? Thanks in advance...
Hey Gal, looks like a good VTX, and nice to see that they don't overate their claimed power levels. However, it is a shame that they didn't give an option for even higher power levels, the hardware, cooling capacity and size looks like it would be good for say 1.5w or maybe even higher with really good cooling. I would buy it.
@@FunBitesTV Because it would heat too much, even with the heatsink and cooler. You know? When it's in a quad there's no issues because of the wind... But on a ground based vehicle, like a rc car, there wouldn't be much wind.
Yes, it will be great thanks for the built in fan. I think that you should be able to use it on 1W as well but as Mario (MC) mentioned, there is a good chance it will get very hot.
Hey cool video i have 2 questions what 3s battery should i get is 25c good abs i am waiting to use it in my 50cm rc boat would it get to hot inside with no air gap
@@KremerFPV I replaced the male pin with a female pin because this was the fastest solution. Reception is great even at 25 mW. How big are the losses when using an adapter?
The maximum measured power using a 4s battery and 1W output power was about 7W so the current draw was about 0.45Ah, which is not much higher than other similar VTXs that don't include an integrated fan.
Just Hack It oh ok. might be time to upgrade ur VTX and RX if u want more range. This VTX looks good, maybe it paired with a pagoda antenna and a good quality RX. I use the Achilles diversity module with Fatsharks. One antenna is a pagoda, the other antenna Is a 7 turn helical.
Rolo Saenz Sure, VTX - Aomway 5.8g 500mw or 1000mw. Either is good. This VTX in this vid would do the same job. I use a pagoda antenna on the VTX from Banggood. RX - Achilles diversity module with Fatshark HD3. One antenna is another pagoda and the long range antenna is the 7 turn helical from circular wireless. It’s an old antenna now but if u grab a good directional antenna from ready made RC you’ll be fine. Spend the extra $$ for better quality stuff, stay away from cheaper gear.

I’m seriously impressed with this one.

Yes Doug, I concur :-)

It's actually a 5" build :-)
I am using this GPS and simply mounted it on the front of the frame using a double sided tape: bit.ly/Matek-M8Q

looks dope but i think ill stick to my rush solo tank
if only theres 20x20 version of this. this vtx makes me less worry about range with my analogue setup. seems can easily go past 3km with 1w.

Hi Mark, yes I agree. Maybe they will release a more powerful version in the future.
With the fan, would this be good for rovers and ground based RC?
If you don't use it in 1000mW, I bet it would be fantastic!

Wow impressive
Anyone know what the polarization of the antenna is? RHCP or LHCP?
RHCP.

I wish I listened to you
