I really like how the music speeds up when the fighters get low on health. It greatly enhances the atmosphere.

That Channel 6 camera man has got to be getting great footage...love the technique of violently shaking the camera horizontally three times a second.

I don't know if I ever beat Karai. Admittedly I was like 7 but still, I lost so many times. Bringing back terrifying memories watching this
never in story mode, without the mutagen meter attacks. her fire air punch move was insane...lasted forever...crazy angle...she was the game's akuma
@Crowley9 Yeah, this is one of those games from my childhood that seemed really well put together....for the most part. People seem to pass over it at first glance due to it looking like a Street Fighter clone, but personally there's a lot more to it me thinks.
Damn that Shredder match up might be the best fight I have watched in a game. You kept battling back even when he went on a kick frenzy.
That last round with Kurai had me on the edge of my seat forreal lol.This game is intense.

I use to go nuts with Leo in this game, the cpu was no match. lol
imagine winning one round getting 3 double kos and the computer still wins!
The reason why Shredder such a cheating bastard is because the computers like to pretend that they don't need to charge their moves they just do them from a normal stand which is impossible for normal players.
-And most games would be over after you beat Shredder: one of the things I liked about this game is that he isn't the final boss. Karai isn't the cheapest final boss but it had to hurt not having an Anti-Air to fight her.

Seeing Bebop and Rocksteady makes me wonder this: did they EVER win a fight against the Turtles?
If they didn't they weren't really worth having in the franchise.
That's my problem with comics and cartoon heroes. They really don't have WORTHY challengers. A worthy challenger would be so good they would occasionally win and win permanently. Not they win a temporary victory and are beat a few hours later.
Seriously, the heroes seem to LET them go just to prevent boredom.

Cyber Shredder is by far the hardest "legit" character for me to fight. He just seems SO much more aggressive than any of the other fighters.
Of course Karai, with her handful of attacks that can generally do roughly 50% damage per, her speed, AND the fact that she jumps nearly off screen for a few of her hardest hitting attacks make her just unbearable. Even feel dirty when playing as her during a co-op match, and I love to play dirty...it's just...damn, she's too much...haha.

True! Shredder does have his Bison/Rugal qualities goin on, but Karai....damn man! Never remembered a boss SO broken!
WizzyWhipitWonderful Makes it SO rewarding though if you can ever luck out and win though! haha. Have no idea how you'd manage a win without the DON though!
Speaking of, if you want another theme to do, make one for Karai. The Metro Train is good, but not befitting her cheapness!...haha

I'm still taking a beating with this game, even worst, since the days I played on the arcades most fighting games, I refuse to use a continue, if I lose, I go back to square one until I manage to do it with a single credit, also both the SNES story mode and the Sega Genesis version doesn't help with limited continues (and the Genesis version is even harder).

Plus, most fighting games gives victory to the CPU if the match ends with a draw. At least Street Fighter 3 did things right and only gives the CPU victory if it really deserves it.
