No lie, the best explanation I’ve heard for reading a tape measure! I’ll never forget or misjudge a /16” measure again!!! Thank you so much, can you explain angles and how to make them?!
I am starting my passion for diy furniture at 42 thank you for helping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow ! you're the first to break it down like that, in which definitely simplified measurements to me. Thanks a million! !
+Edison Norman Thanks man
Thanks dude. Im 52 and struggled with this my whole life. I knew 1/8, 1/4,1/2,3/4 and 1. Only now is it much more clear. Thanks again.
Same here!
Clear, simple, and easy to pick up. Finally a video that wrapped my head around the measuring tape. Thank you glen!
Bro . . . _legit_ 💯 THE BEST explanation I've ever heard ! Awesome job! 👏🏻I'm 48 and knew the basics but the way you broke down the 16ths was 🔥! Thx!
Start a new job tomorrow at hortons emergency ambulance , I've always been able to read a tape just not as quick . A piece of paper, pencil and repeating how you said it in your video continuous times HELPS A TON !!! 5 minutes is all it took! Thanks bro knowledge is power and knowing is half the battle!!
All kids these days should see this.
+David Bishop Thanks
+David Bishop I agree!
I know my kids will be watching it when I get home tonight!
helped me a lot thank you very much, few people tried to explain it to me but it made the most sense when you explained it, have a great day!
Glenn! Thank you so much. you've broken this down to it simplest form. It is the best video I've seen on how to read a ruler. I teach stagecraft middle school students. Your explanation demonstrates a visual and practical application with what they are being taught in their math classes. Thank you very much.
Very well done and you made it very easy to understand. Hats off to you sir
I love the way you're doing this thank you again
Well simplified and not too fast in explanation. Thanks
Thank you just got a new job and I needed to know how to do this stuff and now I finally do THANK YOU!
Love your channel. I have spent 50+ years trying to teach coworkers how to read a tape. This is exactly how I TRY to teach them. Some will never learn, and some don't want to. Anyway, glad I found your channel. Interesting hacks and tips.

This makes sense. best video I found .Thanks alot .Prefer metric system over standard anyday. Only in America Rest of the world uses metric. Even Canada switched to metrics .
Thanks, I keep hearing that, I'll give it a shot. If it's easier sign me up.
men is very easy, 1km is 1000 meters and 1 meter =10 decimeters =100 centimeters = 1000 milimeters....
1 inch is 2.54 centimeters
1foot is 30.48 centimeters
1 yard is 94.44 centimeters
1 miles is 1609.34 meters or 1.6 km
very well explained!
+AllesohneKabel Thanks

Thank you so much
New subscriber can't really read it so good
ok so...... I really don't like to comment on a lot of things on youtube because...... well let's just leave it there but, watching this video reminded me how i was taught to read a tape measurer years ago but forgot. But it all came back to me after i watched this. Glenn, I watch all of your vids for this reason YOU ALWAYS DO THINGS THE SIMPLEST WAY TO YOU!! phew i guess you can tell how much that means to me although a lot of the ways aren't always as simple to me just because my skill level is no way near where your's is but i love the fact that you do things YOUR WAY (and that way is phenomenal). Don't want to rant, I just appreciate you dude. I have to get some of your plans once i go back to work this corona is real lol. I'm done.
Sebastian

Why? Can't read fractions?
The metric system sucks. It's not intuitive and the numbers get huge quick.

Excellent explanation, thank you. Give me a metric any day of the week...
