To have a decent chance of going through this thing you need a penetrator with a length as long as the side of the cube times the ratio of the density of the tungsten cube and whatever you are shooting at it. So for tungsten or DU round it needs to be something like a APFSDS anti-tank round at least as long as the side of the cube. To do it with a less dense material like copper it needs to be a good shaped charge that can shoot out a nice, straight stream of copper about twice as long as the cube.

Even then a shape charge would have a hard time since tungsten is super energy intensive to melt (high thermal mass and high melting point)

As a CNC machinist with over 10 years of experience. I found out that tungsten only allows itself to be cut or damaged if it feels like it.

I thought they used depleted uranium. Tungsten ‘dulls’ when penetrating, while uranium somehow ‘sharpens’

I don't think anything short of a large diameter hollow charge can punch through this. It probably comes close to an equivalent of 100 mm Steel armor, if not more.

@@mkzhero 3, 7.62 rounds is enough to kill a man regardless of penetration. Level 3a is Kevlar with either a ceramic plate or a composite plate. These are meant to stop or slow down the projectile and prevent it from entering the body, it however does not stop the force applied to the body.

Honestly, this cube would survive a nuke better than almost anything. The melting point of tungsten is 6,200F. I wouldn't be surprised if it could survive a moderate nuke mostly intact from 100 yards away.
