- I don't think I've ever seen or heard of anyone catching crankbait fish like this. Stop and go, sure...but 15' off the bottom??

That top of the line view at the end and all the hard work and drive is why Ive watched Ben since 2016
When shad and other fish start to die, usually their swim bladder is affected first. I’ve seen them try to swim down and keep floating to the surface. Maybe that’s it?
Caught my first live scope fish with the 500dd she did me well on a few lakes across the country this year! Keep up the great content Ben love it!
Awesome video guys!!!! 10.6 was so nice!
Watch em all, this is a really REALLY GOOD ONE!
Thanks for taking us along. Vermont in January, it's nice to watch someone else on the water. Though areas of Champlain are still open near my place and a lot of the broad lake was open up until a week ago. Crazy year up here
looooveeee theee content!!!!! Getting ready for some tourneys this summer!!!!!!!!!
Another good video. I'll be watching this season. Good luck.
You’re a brave man, that 10 degrees and windchill are no joke. I’m sure you couldn’t feel your hands at the end of the day. Great content as always!
Almost seems relatable to the ice fishing technique when you lift the bait upward away from the fish to create more interest and trigger bites!? Maybe the Texas version of ice fishing? lol
Always entertaining Ben! Great video and unbelievable learning example of the truth of FFS!
Putting in the work. Way to go , that is what it is all about !!!!!!!!!
LETS GO bro 😎 another beat down love the content man keep grinding it out 🎣🎣🎣
Freakin awesome video once again man keepem coming!!!
Awesome catch
Stayed to watch the sunset together how about that 😂 Awesome cold water donkey catch man 💪
Dude, the Tommy Boy reference was hilarious ! 🤣👍
Rob destroyed you😂😭
Wow!! I’m blown away!!🎣🎣
I have never seen anything like that.
Throw a sacrificial weight lightly tied to a Senko, let the weight take it all the way to the bottom then snap the line really quick to break the thin leader and let the Senko slowly rise up above the stubborn fish and Yahtzee 😊
Good one
Never had a senko float...
@@joelvanderploeg6733they make floating senkos. This is a thing in Japan. A lot of people will throw a light Carolina rig and so the sacrificial weight off and let the Carolina rig keep it down
@@joelvanderploeg6733z man or put air in bait
senko’s don’t float lol
I’m not even gonna lie I’ve been watching your videos lately and you are an absolutely amazing fisherman! I swear you catch a double digit on every video! Amazing live scope footage!!
You and Sixth Sense are going to have to design a lure that will do that. Great video as always and that 10 pounder was a Tank 👊
I thank you for filming on my home lake and not saying where you really are. That roadbed stays super crowded all year long, so its nice to see you actually breaking it down with different stuff. I've learned a lot from you and will be putting it to good use. If I see you out there sometime, ima say sup. Keep doing your thing bud!
You just told everyone that has any intelligence at all where he is
@@larrydean226I figure anyone that can see, would know where that is, if they've been there or live there.
@@sethgaubert637 If you look up your name it shows that your home lake is Caney lol
@@larrydean226 welp, now they know I guess.
For largemouth and smallmouth here in Canada fishing 42°f or less in November in wintering holes just like this. You can get a jerkbait (megabass 110+2) to that deep by letting the fluorocarbon sink and you can pull it down to that depth (20-25ft) You'll need alot of patience but it you can just suspend the jerkbait and do little twitched to get a reaction without moving it 3"s at a time. We just don't get largemouth bigger then 6lbs here.
Yessir I sunk +2s, glides, crankdowns, everything…only wanted the bait on the rise
I can get a regular 110 on 8lb fluro down 9'. I never thrown a +2 but I'd bet you could get it down 18-20'
@@gt_fishing I rarely throw a regular 110. A +1 or +2 I feel I can get that bait down to them quicker and able to see it and can adjust the depth by upwards jerks. Only throw a Regular 110 when I'm on flats of 3-8ft
Maybe the new Berkley Krej Crankbait would do it? This good pre Lake Fork workup! Get some!
It’s pretty damn obvious Ben is gonna be a force at BASS! Most pros are doing seminars, shows, and so forth before the season. This Fn guy makes his $ on CZcams fishing which gives him the ultimate edge. Time on the water! For the record, I wouldn’t have shown this content! 🤪
Ben just did a BassU seminar 😂
@@Mjones8383just let him be a idiot.....he gets a little bit to excited over another man for me...😮😂
When I sal big bass eating Crankbaits I couldn't have clicked any faster my favorite bait for fishing cold water!
Love the hat !!
Got you on my fantasy for Toledo Bend, now go win the dang thing👍🏼
I used to fish a pond that had bass that would hit weird like that, I discovered it on accident. A big gold and orange colored deep diver, pull it down to the bottom slowly, and then let it rise slowly on it's own. I kinda gave up doing it because it only worked in that one pond...but, I might have it again with some other cranks!
I had a pond that I would throw this homemade crank bait my dad made. It was a shallow diver, not a square bill or flat side, it would just roll side to side. Anyway, instead of just cast and reel back in I would just jerk It and let it dive under a couple inches and let it rise back. I caught em hood doing it too, never seen anyone fish one like that, so I thought it was unique plus it worked.
Great video guy's, I've coralinna rigged a rappala j-11 it works, catch'um up Ben..
My go-to winter big bass bait is a PB&J colored 1/2 oz jig with a green/blue pearl craw trailer
Awesome video bud. I have a question, I bought a truck load of the Panarama 2.0 for crappie fishing and I need your expert opinion on how you would rig it. Tear them up on Toledo bud, and I will see you at Grand Lake.
This is professional fishing
Ben, you rock 👌🦘🇦🇺🫶
Looking forward to seeing how you attack the st johns with the tides in play.
My MAN!!! What a day on the water my dude 🌳😎🌲. Can’t wait to see the next cold day video! Keep’em cummin
You are the guy. I don't see how you don't win every time. Just want to catch one of those DD girls! I will try that deep cranking as best I can from the bank. Keep slaying them!
Another day… Another double digit
Bro you’re a beast and I love your content but do you plan on stepping up the membership content ?
Thank you
This is so sick
I was catching them on the trace like this last week I’d let it sink and slow roll it back they were coming from the bottom and hittin it around 3’-4’
There feeding on the cold water shad that's either dying or getting stunned by the cold water and they don't haft to chase them down there floating around in the water column and probably slowly floating to the surface here the seagulls get a lot that way
Awesome video Ben! What’s your thoughts on a Carolina rig with a super long leader and a z-man 5” jerk shad (floats) in shiner for the color. You could play with the hook size to change the float speed. Just a thought 🤔 What a bizarre bite though! Perfect example of the power of the scope! Without it someone would have to get extremely lucky to figure out such a bizarre bite!
First time I heard about a Carolina rigged crank bait was from a local on Toledo bend.
DD cranks were my first good experience with livescope and seeing bass come up and show themselves. Too cool - I know it works even though they just nipped at it a few times, much like a big bait - it has drawing power in the winter! DD crank / glide with float anyone????!!!! 😬
Also we knows its a long tpight day of fishing when coles on cam telling you difference between concrete and asphalt and hiw bridges got to be underwater. Ty fellas
I crushed when i used to Carolina rig square bills and slow troll them around points on Mojave and Powell..this was in the 90 s and I was a legend(in my own my mind)
We used to do that at apache alot as well, havent done it in years tho but they used to only want small cranks and the only way to get them down that deep was a carolina rig.
Quality over quantity 💪 atta boy
Love the Tommy boy reference
Tanks all day
That was a GINA
They bite in the cold for sure. Caught my pb STUD of 11-15 yesterday in 18 degree weather👍🏼
True slaunch. Nice
That sure looks like Caney Lake lol I'm going out to take a look, the trees in the back ground look like my point.
I hear you say road beds, brush piles etc you should do a video of what they are and what they look like on the electronics ya Buddd
That was crazy! We know nothing about bass. FFS has shown us that. Ha! That would be insane to figure somethin like that out in a tournament u know nobody else is doing. Really cool
Need more livescope views while your on them.
Let’s get it
We bringing back mfer of the day
All in favor raise 🖐️
I drop shot crank baits here in Michigan on the Detroit River to do exactly what you’re doing for walleye and smallmouth. Maybe that could help🤷♂️
No matter how much time on the water …. The next trip can always leave you mindblown
Another stupid awesome video.
Scope Spin, or Spoon?
When will we find out all the new sponsers?
LunkersTV wishes he can catch fish like you! #yoouuuubettttttt!
How about a OSP blitz magnum crank?
What lake is that?
When we going to see the top speed?
Float and Fly...😂
When will live scope boat flip your fish too?
Ay bro can the hangover be able to get a jig head? in there so I can try this on a Arig 😅😂
"East Texas" hahaha
I think a hair jig would slay the way they were acting
Put the "Pressure" crankbait Ben !
Bro you had one job. Hog wallow in the jawllow
Damn, Gina.
I noticed your hat emblem, looks like a Miller High Life, that's pretty cool. Do you have Miller Beer for a sponser? You could.. dont t3llvme you're a Bud man?
That sure does look like small little local lake in Louisiana
Big ole spoon
The boat is fucking sick man. I’m so jealous, normally into ice fishing but I just haven’t been feeling it this year.
Line through a treble at the bottom of a panorama but go through the top center of the bait or wherever it needs to be to be perfectly horizontal, weight on top of the treble hook inside the hooks slot of the panorama, then pull it away from them vertically using the reel while sitting on top of em?
Floating worm on super long leader on a Carolina rig?, use a ‘santee cooper’ style Carolina rig with a different soft plastic? damiki rig right over top of them with a super realistic bait and pull it upwards away from them? Hover/damiki style rig a panorama with the eye at the top middle of the bait?
Tell Cole that you can pour concrete underwater, plus it will be the strongest concrete ever. As it doesn't dry the chemical action hardens the concrete.
Maybe a floating worm/craw on a free rig weight?
Don’t be laughing at them Carolina Rigged crank baits until you try it boss. Shhhhh 😎
I think what was going on was there may have been a shad kill with the cold water so the bass might have thought it was a dying shad
That’s a slaunch-a-saurus-Rex
Spoon vertical
The biggest Big-0 floats
#TeamMFer
Large sized!
Not using that awesome totally not broken hangover swimbait?
I did, they wouldn’t eat anything besides the crank. Unlike last time we were there and caught 20 over 7 lbs on the hangover in 1 day. Good try bud
Countdown minnow??
I probably would’ve tried putting on a crankbait that got to the depth I wanted then throw some wire around the trebles and try to suspend the crankbait
Why not a page sized spoon in that situation?
"Starting" with the hangover is ironic. Subliminal way to say I seen it I guess.
Whatcha mean?
@@MillikenFishing clever innuendo.
Krej might would do it
One of my favorite times to fish is when the ice literally just starts to leave.
Who don’t love ice out.. dying by then up here in the North East.
Maybe a +2 type Megabass jerk bait would get down enough and slow rise in this kind of situation.
👍👍👍👍👍
