I really appreciated the live scope view. I haven't gotten a bass boat just yet (this spring is my hope) so have never really been able to grasp what working a bait looks like on the scope and how fish really show up on the screen.
I fish with livescope everytime I go out so I see it A LOT and I still hold my breath while watching your livescope footage when you have bass following! 🤣🤣

Been wire weighting a while and one thing to be careful of is building it all up at the top of hook. This creates a bulge the makes the hook gap smaller! Take your time on a shop day and make a bunch. Maybe even figure out exact weights for specific baits and make a bunch. It is more challenging to stack it around the shaft but I think it may help.
I think you should point out some more bass on your live scope!! I think a lot of people that don’t have it yet could learn a lot from your knowledge and bring in some perspective for them!! Love the channel brother!! Be safe!!

@Ben if you ever want to make those Shiners just taste 100 times better get a bowl of pickled queen olives that have been pitted and be are not stuffed squeeze lemon juice onto the olives and salt them. Usually 1 whole yellow lemon to 15 olives. I guarantee the taste profiles compliment each other so well. You can even add a couple of drops of tobacco for little kick.
Had a tough time Sunday 12/18 with similar conditions. Big blobs just didn’t seem to care. Not a great angler sprinkled in there but mostly dumb fish 😂😂🫢

Ben u should do a miliken shoulder “satchel” like the luxury brands have, they don’t do Fanny pack’s, they like “satchel’s” lol 😆 . I think that’d be kinda cool, they’re big in Japan too, a lot of the Japanese tackle brands do them as well.
Wish you’d get a new Ranger and see what a real boat is about!! Keep rippin lips. I’ve saved up a few super 6 sacks to go back and catch a few slaunches when the weather gets right.
To each his own when it comes to models of bass boats. You're a ranger guy and Ben's a caymas guy. I prefer a boat that is no longer manufactured unfortunately and tracking my dad's nu legend down has been a pain in the ass.

Quick question. When you're throwing the line thru and you have one follow it close all the way back to the boat.....why do you keep rolling it the same speed or maybe speed it up a little. But you never pop it a couple times to make it look like the baitfish is getting scared and trying to flee and possibly get a reaction strike?? Especially in the last 15 feet when she's been following it close for the last 60 feet?!?! Not being a smartass either... I'm still learning my megalive and still trying to understand how they actually react in real life. The twitch and pop to break the cadence and get a reaction strike just seems like common sense to my monkey 🐒 brain tho. Lol

It is lead wire which is used to get a lure to run deeper. You can also use a tungsten bell sinker with a split ring attached to a lure hanger.
