- Harvey Industries International was nice enough to send me over one of their G-700 Dust Processors to try out in my small shop. The shipping packaging was awesome and the setup was straight forward and easy. I added a filter clean out port courtesy of my buddy KJ ( / keithjohnsoncustomwood... , who happens to be a co-host on our podcast, Shop Sounds ( podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast..., along with Jason Hibbs of Bourbon Moth Woodworking ( / bourbonmothdecor . The setup was super easy and the performance is already way better than what I was using before. If you're in the market for a dust collector, go check out this dust processor from Harvey here:

Another great video, thanks for sharing. Can't wait to hear your experience over time.
Thanks for watching!
Great video. I’ll have one soon so you made my set up process even easier. Thanks bro.
Glad to help out man! Thanks for watching, Nate!
Nice bro!! Had to watch the video even tho I’ve had mine for about a year now 😂. Game changer that for sure!
🤣 thanks for watching! It’s been awesome so far!
great video nick! hoping to grab one of these bad boys soon. was a little disappointed I didn't get to see any photos of the tiny tips when I clicked on the card though
Thanks man! Photos cost extra!
Thanks for the review, I’m considering a new dust collection. I’m getting ready to break ground on my new shop. The shop area will be roughly 1,300 sf. My biggest demand would be my 20” planer. In your opinion is the 700 powerful enough for my shop?
Any updates on the machine? Most reviews I find are from shops that were sent the machine for free to review.
Hey Nick!⭐
Hey!
Question about your setup to clean the filters. Do you never put the caps back on the filter outlet pipes? Do you leave the hoses attached and count on the blast gate to seal the machine while you are hooked up to another tool? If you do, isn't it possible that the fine dust will leak out of the blast gate? I just received delivery of one of these machines and am curious about leaving those hoses on those two pipes and not replacing the caps.
Good Info, thanks. Who uses that 2 1/2 inch port? It would be betterserved to come out and up and over and down to connect the clean out ports permenantly to the 2 1/2, no worries about damper blow by. I have one coming in Feb and will try it out. Can't wait.⏩
Thanks for watching! I use the 2.5 port for my cnc, perfect for it.
Great video Nick, compared to your last few videos, this looks to be the easiest to install.
Good luck in selling the CNC.
Thanks!! You want to buy it?! 🤣
@@KeyWoodworks willing to ship to Australia?
Of course! You just have to buy the boat!
Why does separation of dust particles matter?
What size is your shop?
how many times have you tripped over the dust hose
Legit haven’t yet. I’m used to hoses on the ground already.
What kind of CnC? Might be interested.
New sub here too.
I have the Dust Right 750, which I'm pretty sure you had before this. How much quieter is the Harvey at similar suction to the 750?
The Harvey is significantly quieter at its lowest setting than the 750 at the same amount of suction. When you turn up the Harvey to fill power it’s probably a little louder than the 750 but the suction of the Harvey is significantly greater.
@@KeyWoodworks Fantastic and good to know. Will you be adding a cyclone separator? Is there even a need for one on the Harvey?
I’m second guessing that you watched the video…
@@KeyWoodworks I did watch it. Must’ve missed that part when my toddler was crawling over me. Thanks.
Congratulations on the new dust processor…I have suction envy 😂
Does it come in black?
Sadly, it does not.
@@KeyWoodworks that's a shame...
You’re preaching to the choir
Overkill for the 1 guitar per year build no? 😊
Hey, I usually build 2!
Harvey needs to add a hinged cover to where the filters are. If you plug up the filters, which is easy to do by either neglecting regular cleaning or by bypassing the bins with high air flow and a short direct connection when planing, plan on a 2 hour project to remove the filters. You pretty much have to take the G700 apart to get at th filters. Ridiculous design.
Don't use the G700 with a floor vacuum attachment to suck up piles of saw dust. That can also plug up the filters and don't crank on the paddle knobs if they won't move or you'll break them. Been there, done that.
Glad to see to modified the dust port cleanouts, as I did. Another dumb design by Harvey.
Tiny nips card for KJ ..... Can't stop laughing 🤣
It’s true. 🤣
