- This Toyota Rav4 Air Condition would randomly turn off and on. In this video I will show you the troubleshooting steps I used to diagnose the problem and put a temporary fix, instead of spending ~$1000 in the autos shop.

Nice set of refrigeration gauges you got there . 👍
No kidding
Have a highlander 2010 with same problem…imma try this and i’ll update if it worked
THANK YOU!!
Hi did this work for you, I also have 2013 highlander with same problem?
You can remove without taking compressor out but it's difficult for sure
This is awesome, just got a quote for $2,133 b/o of bad sensor code B1479, and they want to replace everything since sensor is "built into A/C compressor) - i got a 2011 Rav4 ...so going to try this fix.
How did it go for you? I had same issue
HI, I will like to know if this fixed the issue. Same issue is going on with my car.
For me if fixed it, the sensor went bad after 6 months, it was working intermittently, replaced it with another one, worked perfect more than a year now.
@@BARR8323good morning. Did you use a different brand for the second sensor?
No, I ordered the same one again. Still working.
I have the same problem with my car Toyota 2010 Toyota rav4 A/C bad flow sensor. I did the same you did and it's a bad flow sensor. What the part numbers of flow sensor you bought? Should I leave a piece of magnet on top of the sensor that still makes AC working for another time. Thanks.

@@BARR8323 Thanks
Not sure this is my issue but maybe I missed something. My compressor sounds like it kicks on but the ac circle light doesn't light up when pressed in.
Is it blowing cold?
No. The fan runs but only blows hot. And the condenser sounds like it kicks on to. Just ac button doesn't light up no cold
That’s hard for me to help, because If you say fan is kicking on and compressor sounds like it’s kicking on, but blowing hot 🥵 air you could have a refrigerant problem.
Don’t add refrigerant unless you know it’s low. Too much refrigerant hurts the system and cause it to blow hot.
Maybe someone else will comment to help.
Did you zip-tie the sensor to the high side or low side?
I think I zip tie and also add a wire twist tie just Incase the zip tie melted.

Is that sensor still working or did it quit.
No, it died after 6 months, I bought a replacement and changed it in 10 minutes and been working all this summer without a problem.
Where did you get a new sensor ??
