I love it when a plan comes together! Nice video. I’m getting the Blue Driver B1479 Code on my 2017 Toyota Camry SE…however, A/C and heater are working fine. Also getting C1201, U0140, P1604 Codes.
This fixed my issue. Also, car has a code climate module. But it was in HISTORY, not active. For this exact piece. Connect it outside, erase code and BOOM, AC working again. The real challenge is taking it out! Thank you!!!!
Hello Crutchfield I have 2014 Sienna. After I replaced the battery, After I start the car, the AC light/Panel would not turn on until about 2 minute after starting the car. This is not like the AC relay issue because the electrical part, light... etc turns on two mins after car start.. then everything is normal.
if it happens again use a telescoping magnet over the switch and it'll turn on. Once you turn off AC will turn off. This will tie you over until the switch arrives
Hi, just stumbled onto your video. What issues were you having prior to this fix? My ac stop blowing all of a sudden. Prior, van would shake at certain rpm. Now, if I have the van parked and turn on the ac, the van will turn off. Any advice? Thank you in advance and hope you see this message soon.
@@crutchfieldautomotive7936, been looking at forums and you may be right, kind of bummed as that was probably the last thing I wanted it to be. I think some metal shavings may have made their way to the blower as well as it sounds horrible when it kicks in. Thank you for replying back. God bless.
Be careful guys...my system was blowing cool not cold and I replaced the sensor....now it just blows warm. Clutch not longer engaging so it's like the sensor replacement made the whole system shut down. Now I have to go get crushed by an automotive shop!
@@crutchfieldautomotive7936 I have not scan it, just recently have found out that you can scan for AC codes, compressor is not kicking in but once it does kick in AC works fine, the other day I jumped pressure switch first fan inside the car stopped blowing took a jump wire out plugged it back into the pressure switch and ac kicked on and worked fine until I turned the car off. Once ac clutch engages everything works fine radiator fan it cools and everything......I'll have to do more troubleshooting soon, I'll try to scan it first
@@crutchfieldautomotive7936 it's weird when you jump it fan inside the car will stop blowing ac still not working, u take jumper wire out reconnect and at times ac will kick on, I will post update if I find out more
Was the new refrigerant added with a full on AC machine or was it just added to it with regular gauges? That can come from too much or too little Freon hard to say from here
I had sent it to another shop because of a little time I have right now and they had recommended the entire compressor. Fortunately this sensor fix worked 🤣

Two C1201 Codes, one ABS and one for Power Steering 😩
I’m wondering if sometimes one code gets fixed, it also clears others out.

You mean removing the sensor from its place and clearing the code and it will keep working and not cut off the AC power
Very nice result, great info!
Thanks very much you saved me a lot of money and time thanks again
Should thermal paste be used between the new flow sensor and the old compressor?
My sienna had the same problem but it turned out to be bad battery!!
Once I replaced the battery the AC started to work!!
Is the problem really solved?
Hello! Great video, was curious what kind of scanner were you using to get the A/C codes? Would any OBDII scanner work?
Snap-on Zeus
If it had the capability, some just don’t
Thanks man

hmm i guess i will try hooking up scan tool i have no check engine light so didn't think of trying that
Hello, I have the same Siena limited in 2011 how to turn on the Siena DVD, my radio is heard by introducing a DVD

Sounds like a locked up compressor

It would be odd for them to get into the blower from the compressor may want to take a look at the blower by itself
Mine is a Sienna 2011. Where can I get that metter? ac blows, but not cold enough.
If it’s blowing some cold it’s likely just low of freon
👍

Sounds like yours is just low of freon, did you put the old sensor back to see if it went back to cool?
Tell me what you did
mine works intermittently usually works good when it's not hot outside but above 80 does not come at all...any suggestions 2012 sienna
Any codes? Compressor kicking on when cooler or kicking on when hotter but not getting cool?

If you’re able to jump it I would assume the switch is your issue but it’s hard to say without seeing it

Managed to fix it?
2011 sienna, Fan is working, AC cooling only working when car is driving around in higher speeds?
It’s only cooling at higher speeds but the ac clutch engages even when idling?
That’s what mine is doing too. Only works at high speeds
Are your cooling fans coming on? Under the hood?
@@crutchfieldautomotive7936 yes they are on. It’s had new refrigerant and only gets cold on the freeway

The sensor/fuse didn’t fool the Crutchman this time
