Big relief, I am not scared or frightened, I am just worrying about my only son
Thanks
thank you so much. this really gave me strength
Thank you for this-- I got a call this afternoon re: low suspicion in my right breast and need further imaging next week.
Big relief Thank you
I'm 62, I found a lump in my left breast at age 36. The lump turned out to be a fibroadenoma, which is benign. Since that time I've developed more of those and some calcium deposits, in reading up on it I think the Doctors want to screen ANY abnormality and be able to write on their report what that abnormality is. It can be very scary.......so a call back doesn't mean its something bad .
Thank you for this!! I am going for a third mammogram
@@wakeupstylellc how is it at the end? Hopefully everything good
Thank you ❤
I am so glad that I found this video. I am 40, and I had my first mammogram a week and a half ago. I found out today that they need me to come back in for more images, along with an ultrasound. I have horrible anxiety and I was thinking the worst. I cried a lot today. The nurse said that since it is my first one, they have nothing to compare it to. They want me to come in when the radiologist is there, which they did not know today, so I will wait until Monday to get an appointment scheduled, which is terrifying. I live in a rural area, which is probably why everything takes so long. This video has calmed me a bit. Thank you so much for sharing this
Hey Jessica, Its a true blessing to have this channel and Mrs. Smith be so kind to share her experience. I have been getting 2D mammograms since I was 25 and they have all been clear. Last year was my first 3D mammogram where they are able to see a lot more. I got my mammogram on January 23, 2023 and I got my call back on January 24, 2023.
I was VERY AFRAID. They said that they saw something on my right breast that they wanted to take a closer look at. Anxiety is not the word for what I felt so, I just prayed and hoped for the best. I was able to schedule an appointment on January 30, 2023, and at the appointment they gave me another 3D mammogram and they also did an ultrasound.
When it was all said and done, they found that the tissue in my breast were healthy and my breast are so dense that they wanted to take a closer look to insure that their was noting hiding behind my breast tissue.
I did a lot of research on 3D mammograms and I learned that they detect things more efficient but, just because you get a call back does not mean it's cancer. They would like to have mammograms that they can constantly compare each one to every year. In fact, I just received a call from the mammogram i took last week and they called to tell me that my tissue is stable and looks the same as last year.
I feel very confident that you will be just fine. I 'm truly sorry for the grammatical errors. I just wanted to share my experience with you and try to bring ease to your heart.
GOD BLESS YOU.
@@amyalo7095 Thank you for your kind words!! I had my second one today, and the radiologist looked at it right there, and said that it was fine. I had the ultrasound scheduled for right after, and they said that I did not have to do it. I was also told that now they have good images to compare my next one to. Hearing that this is common helped greatly with my anxiety. I am so grateful for this video!! Take care :)
Me too, got the call yesterday. It’s a focal asymmetry in my left breast. I have to redo everything 😢
You are going to be fine, Jessica. I am having my diagnostic mammogram a month from today and I am not worried at all because this is going to be my third diagnostic mammogram. I already decided I am just scheduling the diagnostic mammogram. My doctor wants me to do also an ultrasound, but that is not happening. They say there is a 0.5 cm mass on my left breast that was not there a year and a half ago. I don't feel a thing, I don't have any symptoms. I don't have high density on my breast, I don't have a family history of breast cancer. I don't believe in the doctors anymore.
I received a call back today. Nobody to ask for support. Waiting for my ultrasound , hoping the results will be fine. Stressing out, crying, it is very, very scary.
Are you ok??
Can we get an update. I hope you are doing ok 💕
Me too 😢
Thank you for this video, which my husband found and shared with me. My terror began on 12/16 and ended on 12/27. I'm the worst overthinker and I self diagnose, so I had already accepted a diagnosis that I hadn't even been given. Everyone...be well and Happy New Year!
I just got a call back and I’ve already died and my husband remarried. I have a focal asymmetry
Been there. I hope all is well.
Can u imagine being asked to get an mri after being cleared twice? Well, it happened to me. While it was nerve wracking, I'm so grateful that my doctor is thorough.
@@robinwilson-barnes2371 I have my biopsy on 10/9. Thanks for caring! ❤️
I haven’t said a word to anyone and I feel silly for being so upset. I’m glad I came across this video. I’m still not telling anyone but I feel better that others have the same reaction as I have, as far as being scared. Thanks to all the comments I feel a little bit better.
Krista, thank you so much for this! I wish I'd found your video months ago. I went through a long wait time on a biopsy in January, which was (thankfully) benign. Then, three weeks later, I get a callback on my mammogram. I waited 3+ weeks for the diagnostic mammogram plus ultrasound, and am now waiting some more for a biopsy. All in all, I've had just three weeks in the past 4 months where I wasn't waiting on a suspicious result for malignancy. I have so much empathy for anyone in this position. The stress and terror of the waiting almost shattered my sense of wellness. I would encourage everyone to do as Krista did and push for quicker appointments wherever possible.
your video is very helpful you explained like a great teacher and friend.I also have been called back and it just hit me so hard. Going in 2 days for a diagnostic mammogram. Strength and prayers to anyone going through.Trying not to be anxious but it keeps coming back 😞
So scary. ❤❤
Crazy that they schedule out call-backs a month later! Excruciating! I'm so glad you got in sooner and that all is A-OK - XOXO. I've been through this too - it is so good to share strategies on how to re-group and make a plan.
My call back is a month out, although I live in a very remote area (Kauai). I have spiculated mass 1cm. Trying to get in sooner. Tourture.
I just got that call back today, after a got my mamo yesterday, I swear that I don’t know what to feel or think , it’s just fresh to grasp
@Just Peachy wish you luck , just keep the positive thinking like I did .
I had my first mammogram a couple weeks ago. It was a 3D machine which I've heard is more accurate. Well, I just got a call back for a finding in my right breast and additional imaging/ultrasound is needed. I'm worried sick. Thank god I only have to wait 2 days for my follow up appointment. I do have a good support system around me. It's just really hard to put it out of my mind. You're right, the waiting is the hardest part.
How did you get on.Hope your okay
Hi Jodie...how did ur results go...I do hope ur 👌 OK.
The mammogram is radiation it’s scary to have it twice in one week. I’m in that boat. I got called today! It’s actually a good wake up cal for me, to realize life is short and to have compassion for those who struggle with illness and the terror.
I had a rough day today; had been called back from last week. Found out it was nothing, but still scared me.
I'm so glad it was nothing for you. I'm stressing
But what was it ?
Yes so scary. So grateful for the ultimate good news.
Thank you, Krista! I really appreciate your video! This helped me immensely during the frightful week I had waiting to do a second mammogram and ultrasound. It didn't help this was my first mammogram. Getting mammogramed the first time was scary enough, but getting called back right way, I panicked. It didn't help that I am 46 years old and friends, family, and even doctors shamed me for waiting soooo long to get my first mammogram at 46. So throw in some shame in there too. Luckily, I got good news! But, my gawd, I feel for you and any ladies going through this wait. We need more videos like this. Thank you 🙂
Such a scary experience and so grateful for your good news!
Thank you for sharing your story. I go in tomorrow morning for my call back ultrasound. This was my first mammogram and I’m terrified. Because of the current situation I have to go alone which makes it that much scarier. Praying everything will be fine while at the same time worried about why if it’s not. What a roller coaster of emotions.
Love to you
@@kristasmith1285 had a biopsy on Monday and got the all good this afternoon! Benign fibroadenoma in one spot.
@@Kmryan30 oh fabulous! Huge sigh of relief with you 🙏🏻
@@kristasmith1285 very much so!!!
Professor Gilbert Welch has given some great talks on CZcams and has also written a book about the problem of over diagnosis. Very interesting!
Great tip thank you!
Thank you I just had my 1st mammogram and received a call back.Hopeful everything goes well with my follow up. This video put my mind at ease.
Thank you for this video. Because of covid and memory lapse, I haven’t had a mammogram in 3 years. I got back on track and got my mammogram…call back for another mammogram and a scan. I have 2 spots, one 3cm, one 5-6 cm. I’m 68 in July. Scared-some, worried-yes, looking for everything on line-you bet ‘cha! Mine next check is in 2 weeks. My first thought, maybe my doctor just ok’ed my mammogram, second thought…Crap!!! I told my husband, and spoke with my daughter. I can’t tell my son because he would freak out. If it’s nothing-AMAZING, if it’s something…I’ll tell my friends and family. Faith over fear, I’m leaving it in God’s hands. But…I am freaking out internally but have to put up a strong/brave face for the family. Thank you again.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in my left breast in 2020, after chemo mastectomy and my yearly mammogram I got a call back and I now have to wait 3 weeks for a new mammogram. I would hate to think I need to do this chemo and surgery again, but I have a great doctor.
Praying for you
What a journey you’ve been on…❤❤❤
This was helpful for me. I had yearly mammogram last week and got a call back for the first time in my life. I’m 64 and it is very scary. The earliest I could get in for recheck was a week later. I will be going in for that this week. Hoping and praying it will be ok.
So glad! Thank you for sharing your journey.
Your story is beautiful and amazing and it is also the exact same story I share right down to the family helping, and those being the ones I chose to share with. There is no one I’m any closer to than my sisters and sons.
My story is almost identical to your story, except for the fact that I did not have to have a sonogram, only a mammogram, which showed Everything was fine, everyone needs to be getting these mammograms. I’m not sure if women know that one in eight women will have breast cancer that is a very high number that right there is enough to make a person want to eat cleaner, exercise and live better.
I am much older than you I’m 62 years old I loved your story and your story is mine❤
Thanks to my husband sons and sisters ❤️
Thanks to Solis team
Sophia, I’m so grateful to hear about your similar experience and the love and support of your family. I appreciate you sharing and connecting ❤️
I got a call back. I’m scared to death. Your video helps. I have reach out to friends that are great. I have no family here so I don’t have support only friends. I have a 22 year old son but I don’t want to say anything this early If this is nothing. Thank you !!!!! I had to wait a week. I go next Friday. I couldn’t get in sooner. I pray to god it will be ok. Thank you !!!!
Hi hun,how did you get on
Inspiring to hear this!
Thanks for sharing this I have call back for a ultrasound
Thanks for sharing this because I'm in the mind of not telling anyone. Maybe I should talk to lived ones for the support. Thank you glad you are ok!
I always do better in community ❤
Just got the call to come back for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound due to the comparison of my latest 3D compared to one 1.5 years ago. They could not get me in for another 5.5 weeks! I called another medical facility and am getting in, in two weeks. So frustrating to have to wait! Don’t want to tell anyone except my husband. I am holding onto statistics, and my health history, which is really good. I have to say the scheduling people have been very understanding.
I got a callback, had a biopsy and am now am scheduled to see a surgeon.
Love and strength to you 💕💕💕
Wish you luck and god bless you
@queen4u2 how are you today? Hope you are on the road to recovery ❤
Thank you! I'm 44, and my last mammogram was 3 years ago. I have a new family doc, so he scheduled me for a mammogram screening at the same diagnostic center that did it in 2020. My appointment was yesterday at 10:30am which was a 3D mammogram, and I received a call back 4 hours later. Unfortunately, my docs office was already closed, and he won't be back in office until Tuesday. They said he hasn't viewed the report yet, but that he will need to schedule true lateral spot MLO, spot compression CC tomography, and ultrasound of right breast as soon as possible. They found 2 changes from my prior mammogram 3 yrs earlier: assymetric density & architectural distortion of upper-outer quadrant. Im not really sure what all that means, but this video gave me more peace of mind than my Google search did haha! No calcifications were noted, so hopefully that's a good sign. Idk. Trying not to worry, but finding out before my doctor - and before a 4 day holiday weekend - makes it a little more difficult to do. So glad all went well with yours!! ❤
This all must have been so scary…
Thank you!
Im 34, my doctor for some reason asked about getting a mammogram. I did it, and now im waiting for the call to schedule an ultrasound and additional immages as they found asymmetries in the medial breast, middle and posterior depth, on CC view. Im such an over thinker as it is and tbis has my anxiety through the roof. Its October on top of that so breast cancer awareness stuff just seems to be everywhere. Trying to reassure myself that it will be okay but its very hard. Thank you for your video.
I bet this has been scary, how did it turn out?
i had mammogram 4 days ago , got call back today . got appointment next week for mammogram & scan. hope nothing serious.
Thank you for your video
Grateful for the good news! Thank you for watchinf
I get mammogram every year since my 40's. 52 now. Every time I got a pass.
Not today. Had a mammogram a few days ago and got that call back. All they would tell me is I have to get another mammogram and ultrasound for findings on my right breast. I have been slammed with health issues and new diagnoses this past year - in shock I'm dealing with this now.
@Just Peachy Sorry to hear that, positive thought your way! 💜
Me too. I went every year with normal results until December 2022. After two additional mammos, two ultrasounds and an MRI, I'm ok. I hope you are well too!
@@robinwilson-barnes2371 holy cripes
Oh thank you sooooo much. I got a callback as well and will be seen in 1 week. Your video definitely helped me.
My partner had a mammogram 2 weeks ago and they’ve called her back. She has an appointment this week at our local hospital as the first results have pick up on something and she’s feeling so sick and worried and she’s been arguing with me when I’ve tried to comfort her and she says it’s all about me when it really is not it’s all about her. She will not even tell me what day or time it is as she doesn’t want no fuss. I feel so in the dark and I feel helpless and I guess because I am using i this is what she’s seeing when she says you it’s all about you … gosh I love my lady so much I don’t want her going through anything alone . It’s her that’s pushing me aside. She has gone work today and won’t come out tonight to go to the cinema just to try to take her mind off of over thinking
How did your partner get on.Hope she’s okay
@@michelleamywatt5695 She is ok it was a fatty tissue. I’m not sure how she is right now as she’s called it a day on us. Its nothing to do with me it’s what she’s got going on in her life with her family, plus the perimenopause too she dealing with even tho I did all I can even contact female groups so they could give me advice. so I’ve agreed to what she’s wanting in the hope that she will come back around

I was told I had a shadow after mammogram. Then biopsy the same day. I realised the last mammogram was more than 3 years. I have 3 weeks to wait for call back. I feel I don’t want to worry family so thinking of not mentioning anything till I get results. But, I have no one to talk to and having to stress alone. Never felt so many emotions at one time. Even thinking of dialogue of what to say if it’s bad news. Should I mention to my family, I could do with support
What the 1st mammogram results was massa, calcification or architectural distortion ??
I was told right after my mammo that something didn't look right. Booked a biopsy right then and there. Unfortunately it was cancer.
New subscriber!
Did they take extra pics of one side? They did 2 on one side today then two on rt side plus two more . I haven't heard bk yet so we will see
Sometimes they take more on one side if they have difficulty getting a good image.
My call back wasn’t good unfortunately. Long story short my stage 0 DCIS was treated with a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction and a clear diagnosis a month later. The days spent waiting for each appointment was the hardest time. When I was in motion and in the process I could mentally rally. I’m a very impatient person and so when I hear stories about women waiting on the next steps in their recovery, I just can’t imagine how terrible that would feel.
I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this. I’m glad you caught it.
I turned 40. Had an abnormal mammogram. Got a call back. My nerves went through the roof. I went back for another mammogram aand bilateral breast ultrasound and NOW I have a call back for bilateral ultrasound guided biopsy. I'm so nervous and stressed out...
How is everything?
This has been so hard for sure. ❤❤
I, the same thing happened to me years ago.❤
I got a call back from doing the ultrasound (second mammogram). My doctor is not returning my calls. The doctor office gave me an appointment all the way to December, I got my mammogram and ultrasound in October. So it’s very frustrating. I got a letter that my doctor ordered a third mammogram. So now I am going to call the imaging center and schedule that. But I am tempted to show up to the doctor office and demand for the doctor to come out and talk to me.
I HOPE you went to a DIFFERENT DOCTOR!
My mammogram was 15 years ago or may be longer, since there is no history in my family, my father or mother side , so I don’t know what to think
@Just Peachy wish you luck , ignore the negative thinking and be positive, I got my results, they did find something very tiny but it wasn’t anything , benign , thank god , I am praying more for women who didn’t get my experience,
I just got a called from the Doctor and I have a focal asymmetry in my left breast…I’m freaking out, I have to do another Mammogram & Ultrasound
I never ever going to go back again to mammograph
If you have dense breasts don’t waste your time with mammograms. Go for MRI once/twice a year
Yes dense breasts are a challenge. I hear ultrasound can be good to have in the toolbox too.
I don't believe in those call backs anymore. I scheduled today my third diagnostic mammogram in 8 years. I am not scared anymore. I am sure I am fine. My appointments is scheduled 2 months after the screening mammogram. Diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsys and everything else is how breast cancer centers make money.
